Game Devs And AGS in general, What do you think your players and the players you lost think about you?

We need someone who has the ability to fix problems to know where we stand on said problems… The state of this game went from a very sad launch to a even sadder current version and does anyone actually have faith things will ever get better at this point? Poor scott lane has a full head of gray hair since joining AGS… Just saying man something needs to happen and the sooner the better or this game is done.

You mean this dupe. Still currently in the game.

Yes we do need someone who has the ability to fix the game. We need them to be fixing the game though not spending time in the forums telling us what they might do when they are done reading the forums. There are employees who read the forums and supply us with information so the developers can keep doing their thing. They pass things along as needed. They are people hired for their communications skills. If they do their job correct they take what is on the forums and use that to make a concise report for the developers or whatever team needs that information. When they receive information they then bring it back to us here on the forums. We need more of that but we don’t need the developers to be the ones reading the forums. Their time is better utilized elsewhere.

I appreciate your feedback. I think we just come from different worlds, but I respect your opinions. It seems we both want what’s best for the game. But a post like this asking the Devs what they think about their critics does absolutely no good and can only stir up nonsense.

we do %100

I think it would be better for all if both US and the company understood each other…leading to a better game as a whole. It’s a 2 way street without one or the other(aka not knowing what the playe base wants and the player not knowing whats going on===leading to trust issues==leading to a gap of “communication”=== leads to a bad game design. Thust the devs not knowing what to do. The team (devs) need to sit down and fix alot of the “core” issues and what not mainly before even thinking about adding new content.

We all contnue to ask for better communication and the AGS forum moderators have said before that better communication is something they are trying to work on.

With that said I haven’t seen an official news or Development blog update now in 15 days. Even with the holiday’s that is getting into the unacceptable.

I can empathize with your fellings.

I used to be a previous game dev(no longer now), “trying” (imo) means== “we will but not a priority” Is how i take that .Does that mean that is WHAT they are doing no, just my experience and observation. What (imo) they should have said is something along the lines of " Communication is among our main priorities and we’re always doing our best to improve that. If there is anyway we can improve, please let us know how. Have a wonderful day the dev team" THAT is what (imo) should have been said.

There could be 2 reason. 1. there going to be doing a BIG notice/update blog or 2 there going to put small notes out (Highly doubt this) Big patch/updates notes are preferred but does take longer. However smaller ones are better (more so to keep tabs on your community and whats going on, or to leak(intentionally at that) upcoming things aka think a teaser video or what not.

Aye i’m hoping on that, they want to do a big update with mutations and other bug fixes etc. and are keeping things hush for the time being.

That’s why I said were nearing the unacceptable

Isn’t wednesdays suppose to be the weekly patch night? I forget now

No idea on the “Day” however i understand and yes you did say" nearing" lol.

Like other mmos have done for decades. They just need to look around and copy or learn. But they seem too busy fixing bugs they make or providing justification for their ego to do that.

One solution to bring crafting and pve together is already in the game but poorly implemented. Like, bosses dropping legendary matts to craft certain weapons or needing pvp rank to buy certain crafting matts. They are too busy thinking of new content and ignoring to refine current 1

Oh n doubt! they for sure “should” have done that even AFTER alpha, and if they did it doesnt show…thats for sure!

pretty much

i would agree with this. However as it stands now, i would say they need to fix most of the issues now bots/gold sellers/etc, before adding new content. Otherwise it just more work on top of more work ya know.

yeah my server is infested with bots, even high levels gathering everywhere. Like, when my server has ~300 ppl on, tens of them are bots I see around. Probably 60-100 by estimations.

A two-way street indicates we, the players, are half of the problem and need to meet them half way or do our part (which I would agree with). But the way you’ve described it, the Devs are 100% the problem. They don’t know what we want (as if we’ve been clear about it and they are choosing not to listen), AND they don’t communicate.

We can agree on core issues needing to be dealt with before adding new content. I do think new content is needed, but would be happy to see bots defeated and the chat UI fixed prior to that.

i wouldnt say %100 the problem but there is what feels like a “mis-communication” going on.(as im sure ALL of us can agree on) the devs either are listening and arnt NOT communicating it or they actually are NOT listening in the place…

Agreed 100%

Since we are throwing percentages around, I 97.26% agree with this post.

Whats the 02.74% you dont agree with? lol

The walls of text i didn’t read.

ahh lol fair enough

I think they are paid too much for what was put forth. As a mobile game New World is a success, as an MMO, it is slipping over the edge.
