Just installed the game on steam this morning and it won’t even launch. I played beta and it worked fine then. Rebooted and updated drivers but no luck still. Screenshot_45

What is happening?: Can’t launch game from steam

Tried verifying game files on steam and removing savedata files from appdata/roaming/ags/new world/ but still same issue.

Also ran a registry cleaner to see if that would work as I’m also seeing this window Screenshot_46

Hello @Arkeden, I can see that you’re having some difficulties to launch the game. However you mentioned that you were able to play the Beta with no issues.
In that case could you Uninstall the game. Delete these folders. Reinstall the game.

  • C:\Users(your comp name)\AppData\Local\AGS
  • C:\Users(your comp name)\AppData\Roaming\AGS

That will help to remove any residual files from previous installations.

No luck :confused: haven’t had any response aside from the one above so not sure. Saw in another thread people suspecting something to do with Ryzen processors but not sure.

Hola, tengo el mismo problema, ya me he visto 3 videos en YT pero nada sigue igual, si saben de algo se agradece.

After some reboots and uninstallings it worked. I think it was something related with my connection.

Finalmente tuve que ir a la carpeta de archivos y eliminar el archivo steam_appid, luego en el mismo launcher de la carpeta click derecho, propiedades, compatibilidad, desenmarcar la casilla “iniciar como administrador”. Reiniciar y listo.

Found it roll back the latest windows update game launches just as it did on launch
