I was in 10 minutes, yes, it is clunky and reading forums already bug reports/clunky game reports/uploading problem reports…we’ll see what/if they do something
Yep combined with the stamina nerf it feels poop.
Just to clarify, this isn’t about how the new mechanics feel, this is an actual performance issue.
It feels like I’m getting serious frame drops or something but I’m not. Running/Turning my character creates some sort of stutter and it feels horrible to play.
Have uninstalled and redownloaded the game as well.
I normally don’t get noticeable lag or stuttering issues, but I did last night while running some pvp missions. It was quite strange, because it only occurred while running in certain open areas at both Great Cleave and Restless Shore. Literally, once I crossed onto and started running down the road it stopped. My computer is top-end, but I noticed my fps was 110-120 with the 99% fps in these areas only 5-6. At normal performance, the 99% fps was 90-100. It only occurred when doing influence pvp missions, which might just be a coincidence.
Yeah, normally I got desync now I would get random frame drops and loss of character control for seconds occasionally.
My character wouldn’t change direction for a period of 4 seconds or so like I was using free look when I wasn’t. If I pressed LMB it was random when my char would just keep LMB spamming and I couldn’t cancel anything or change direction/use abilities.
You are most likely getting sudden large micro second frame drops. I noticed it’s really bad in parts of Morning Dale. If I go in the Valley of Bone there the textures act like they are corrupted. but if you go up to say ?Campus? and kill mobs while recording. I noticed that my usually solid capped 72 fps drops for a micro second very severely any time a mob dies, and sometime when using certain weapons skills. I would have missed it if not recording, and specifically looking for the frame drop.
Some sreas the grass now act like the game has motion blur, and textures and lighting in certain areas is noticibly off from what it was prior to the patch release.
i had a LOT of issues last night, skills not going off on release, skills animations restarting when button is spammed, bow light and heavy attack cancelled out of ADS etc. microstutter on swapping weapons (legit dropping frames on every single weapon switch). Most of it went away after driver update and restart, i will investigate further today though.
For me it’s mainly when I swap weapon.
I always ask myself after each patch, can they make the game run worse, and yes they can.
Since the new update, I also get them when entering the area where you have to do the pvp missions. for example in windward (northern part, as soon as i enter the pvp quest area, it starts to stutter, its just 1-2 fps drops, but it’s not smooth at all anymore. My pc is good enough to handle the game in good resolution and graphic settings! Even at low graphic settings it stutters
The performance issues on top of reduced mobility make the game hella unenjoyable.
I had this issue a lot yesterday too. I would have grav wells just disappear leading me to think that the stutters are packet loss or something related
Having similar issues on Midgard EU. Lots of stuttering and lag, including in the arenas. SB gap closer still very unreliable.
Only thing I’ve noticed was the bad performance issues started after Feb/March patch when Everfall settlement turned into a lag fest, and still is. It was when they brought in loading screens to my EF home. I never used to get a loading screen if I walk in and out of my home, it happened instantly. Teleporting yes which is understandable, but simply walking in and out has a loading screen.
Bought my house right by crafting stations so I have quick access to storage but instead it’s now faster to walk to Storage shed. When literally when you walk out my home, the Smelting station is a few steps forward, and I’d easily be able to smelt and go back to home storage.
I changed nothing with my Graphics either but yea Everfall settlement is by far the worst.
Wish it was looked into as my rig was able to run it with no issues.
Note: My rig should be more than capable of running the game, and it was able to until a few patches broke something. Running a 3070 ti, i9 9900k, 32gb ddr4 and off of M.2 SSD.
same experience here, im using rtx 3070, notice that optimization for gpu is only 40% and cpu is only 50%, what`s with the low optimization,
had no issue on high setting since i play on small windows but yesterday i logged in for the first time and it dropped to 40++fps with frequent stuttering, there isnt many player around.
had play poe today, and gpu optimization is 99%
i notices there is some graphical changes here and there like the pvp button, tbh why wont you focused wholly in qol changes ie search feature for perk in TP that bring much more impact?? d
Agreed 100% game feels stuttery/choppy/laggy wayyyyy more since patch. Please address and fix ASAP. every second patch seems to do this after the game was running fine before
Yeah desync is back in fashion
Game lags every second for me when I have the Sanctify quest in Great Cleave, but only when I enter The Bite (The area you have to hold) as soon as I complete the quest or don’t have it, it’s fine. Such a weird issue and looks like I’m not the only one.
I’ve been having similar issues too. The in game FPS will show a high number but the game will stutter like crazy. I’ve experienced this since a couple of updates back.
I’m so frustrated. I really like the games but it feels like it’s moving backwards.
Arenas feel like I’m playing a different game.
They’re much more out of touch then the real game
Damage feels different, range of melee attacks feels different, more warpy movement, melee attacks are less telegraphed
Haven’t put my finger on it yet but my experience on 200+ arena wins
