Game Files - /path/to/new\ world/bootstrap.cfg

Howdy!

What is the /path/to/new\ world/bootstrap.cfg file used for?

sys_game_folder = Assets

sys_dll_game = Javelin

– remote_filesystem - enable Virtual File System (VFS)

remote_filesystem=0

assets = pc

– by default, pc assets (in the ‘pc’ folder) are used, with RC being fed ‘pc’ as the platform

android_assets = es3

– if you change the renderer on android to be OpenGL you may need to change this.

ios_assets = ios

– ip and port of the asset processor. Only if you need to change defaults

– remote_ip=127.0.0.1

– remote_port=45643

– do we connect to the asset processor, or do we listen for its (reverse) connection?

connect_to_remote=0

– do we pause startup of the game and wait for connection to be established

– or do we allow it to continue in the background without waiting?

wait_for_connect=0

– android and IOS over USB port forwarding may need to listen instead of connect

android_connect_to_remote=0

ios_connect_to_remote=0

I’ve moved this to the support section as they are better equipped to handle technical inquiries.

Hello @Helvanir and thank you @Centeotl for moving this post over,

Thank you for your question regarding configuration files for the game. Please note whatever settings are established within the configuration are there by developer decision as to what the optimal settings are for the game and we suggest against tampering with these.

From the support perspective, this is not an actual item you require assistance with but a generic doubt and there is no direct contact to the developers for configuration or programming questions as these so we will not be able to guide you further.

Good luck and see you in Aeternum! :wolf:

Thanks for the reply. I am tampering with them and find the android and ios settings curious. I would love to be able to connect to the asset processor on the back end instead of mine. :wink:
