Can you check your crashlog file in your install directory and see if you see any error? A few of us are seeing this type of entry in the file from the crash:
[2021-09-28T07:55:06] [14508:16040:20210928,075506.611:ERROR process_memory_win.cc:73] ReadMemory at 0x92f5879000 of 552960 bytes failed: Only part of a ReadProcessMemory or WriteProcessMemory request was completed. (299)
I have the same issue. After a period of time which can vary from a few minutes to an hour or so the screen goes black. I can still hear ambient sound but can’t see or do anything. I have to use the task manager to close the game.
I have only encountered this error once before in all the games I have played and that was Guild Wars 2. Exactly the same issue. I tried every forum and avenue. Lots of encouraging ideas but in the end nothing seemed to work. I had to give up playing Guild Wars 2. As far as I know the problem still hasn’t been fixed. I hope someone comes up with an answer otherwise I will have to leave the game behind and let my friends enjoy it without me.
If I find a fix to the problem I will let you guys know.
Great to hear!
Looking forward to be able to actually play the game once the constant freezing issues are resolved. At the moment i avoid playing unless there is no server queue (at night).
Does this include just a straight freeze for a few seconds followed by a CTD with no error message?
Many of us on another thread see this in crashlogs:

I’m on my third crash for no reason, it’s the same problems as the beta
I read about it a bit ago and tried it myself successfully, it looks like the lumberyard engine messes with your gpu stability.
For my 1080Ti Zotac AMP running -250 MHz on core-clocks and -400MHz on Memory clocks reduced the amount of freezes and crashes by about 80%. (so far at least)
Sadly Its still happening for me, I tried to underclock it and it still fell on its arse.
I have a base speed of 1500ish and it turbos to 1700 on base and it insta-freezes on me in the queue prior to even getting into the game.
I mean, I just went to my GPU program, i’ve done -354MHz on clock offset and -570Mhz on my memory clock offset. So far i’ve been queue’ing for 15minutes and no freeze.
I mean, If it works it works haha… If I can play it solidly for 2HRS, i’ll buy you a beer/equivalent currency no cap.
