I am uninstalling steam and redoing lol. I had no driver updates, even went to NVIDIA site and did the download anyway.
Stoped Steam, started as admin, after 15-20 minutes i can finally log in. So to all with this problem just stay PATIENT!!!
doing a full uninstall after many fail attempts to troubleshoot.
Unstill of steam did not help

Steam will not update, there is nothing evan after restarts of New World, Steam, whole machine…
Game start not after Steam restart (with and without Adminrights), Steam checked files (with and without Adminrights), Display driver is up to date, Windows 10 Pro with all actuall updates…
…and the best of all is: My wifes PC, in the same house behind the same IP and router worked fine 
Open task manager, right click New World. Click expand. Close the “gamecrashuploader” . The game will load.

I checked and reinstalled my graphic-card driver, win10 is up to date with updates, let steam check the game files 2x (with adminrights), reinstalled the game. No use, cant logon since server restart.
Other threads get closed, the solution take no effects on my game, i cant play at all.
I wish I could help more. I solved it through how I posted above. Thats sucks and sorry to hear it.
had this issue, the patch uninstalled my gpu driver. after reinstall of same driver, it worked fine. idk why this game is so hard on equiptment, but this should help anyone get in at least.
2 days ago NW was using 97% CPU and was stuck at the 2nd page (the one with the Continue button)
Here I am again with a frozen game but it’s a relief to see that it’s only using 70% CPU.
To be fair Amazon have frecked up again IMHO, what’s new?
same problem i’ve tried everything, and it don’t work. On my laptop it works, not on the desktop computer

I had this issue and found a very easy solution that works for me.
Launch the game directly from Steam and delete any game shortcuts on your desktop.
