Game hasn't even been out a month

Can we give them some time to address some of the reported issues before the pitchforks are drawn and the torches are lit?

“Why this game is broken and most likely always will be”
“Economy is so out of balance it has no chance of coming back”
“Healers Are Too Weak 1v1”
“We told them, they didn’t listen”
“Good job removing good PVP gameplay for quick cashcrab from PVE community”

OMG! The World is on fire!

How about not pretending New World is an early contender in the genre and not the 1836st MMORPG that has been released in the last 20 years? Honestly, how is it possible that developers apparently learned nothing from the mistakes their peers made 10, 5 or 1 year ago? When can we eventually expect MMORPG developers to do their job? Why do some always resort to the game is new! or the game is different! excuses? Yes, some problems can be excused by that. But the overwhelming amount occurring in New World? Sorry, new MMORPGs 10 years ago did it better. So again: how and why?

Your post reads like you’re on a campaign to make everyone else hate the game.

Yawn, still having lots of fun in New World here.

I completely agree with this post.
Seems like no MMOPRG devs or game directors actually ever play MMORPG’s.
Or do any research about them.

This is Amazons FIRST one. How would you handle this Nyel? Do they need to throw you the office keys and let you have at it to fix all these issues?

Not the case my dude! I just made level 50 “I don’t have any end game xp for 60 yet” but Im enjoying the hell out of this.

It’s Amazon‘s first one, so what? They have senior developers from other MMORPGs. They even bragged about this during development. Scott Lane and several others are quite popular in the genre. On top of that they had the backing of Amazon and they had the accessibility to learn of all the failed MMORPGs. Yet they chose not to and just repeat the same decade-old mistakes. For me there’s no excuse. I’m not talking about a bug here and there, that doesn’t bother me at all and is normal. But this game has some groundbreaking flaws and mechanics that work against each other - these are the things that are inexcusable.

Do explain how something like a broken azoth staff (that literally breaks game progression and such) even made it to launch to begin with, while it was a know issue during beta testing? I love the game and think it’s very fun, but to not call out BS when it happens only allows for it to happen again and again.

You think we should give a pass for those kind of glaring omissions?

I think PATIENCE could be used instead of whining. We already have confirmed Admin posts saying they are aware and they are working towards a resolution on many of these major issues. So WHY still bombard and harass?

Edited my previous post to make it more clear who I was addressing.

Still haven’t seen your response as to what you would do to resolve these issues… Fix it!

Can’t?

Well instead of getting your underoos in a knot. Just have patience so they can fix the issues they confirmed “in these forums” that they are fixing.

Ummm. They’ve been working on it for five years, not one month.

The game went live less than a month ago - Don’t complicate things! Go “Ummm” over there →
:stuck_out_tongue:

Waahhh :sob: but I need it now! Play the game, quit bitching. Give them time to fix things!! They release patches every week and Im sure just because they dont have you on speed dial detailing everything they are doing every week doesnt mean they arent acting. This immediate gratification of the new generation of whiny gamers is amazing to me.

There are issues in the game we reported back in Alpha 2020. Some problems exist for almost 2 years now and haven’t been touched. Tons of feedback was ignored by us and here we are: maybe you still have the will to wait, but my patience has been reduced to a minimum. That’s fine, if you want to wait and don’t bother much. But please don’t look for excuses for Amazon, they neither need nor deserve them.

You did not play Crucible? Shame. It was better than this by a mile. But they also scraped the other games they were developing before we even got to see them. Maybe better maybe not we wont know.

At least crucible had some ‘direction’ not like this mess :joy:
