So we all know a big QOL improvement the community has been desperate for is a better way to manage gear sets. Fortunately, we have houses and in those houses can be wardrobes. So at 50 Furnishing, your character can learn how to craft a Minor Wardrobe. This will allow for saving two gear set templates in your storage. At 150 Furnishing, your character can learn to craft a Basic Wardrobe, which unlocks two more templates. At 200 Furnishing, your character can learn to craft a Major Wardrobe which unlocks two more templates, plus a template for each Crafting and Gathering set.
So how do templates work?
Basically, they’re just associations of gear. Each template allows the user to create a custom name for the template and associate armor, accessories, and two weapons to that template. Each template will also have an equip button. Clicking equip automatically equips all items in the template to the corresponding spot on the character. Items that are unequipped through this action that are associated to another template, will be automatically stored in the associated template. Any items unequipped not associated to a template will go into players inventory.
Crafting/Gathering templates will not be nameable and would only store on piece per slot of armor and accessories with the appropriate Crafting/Gathering perk.
Additionally, at 200 you could find a schematic for the “Portable Wardrobe” - an exceedingly rare item that allows the player to access their Wardrobe from anywhere.
Just wanted to throw out this idea to maybe help get AGS’s creative juices flowing to solve this long outstanding problem.
