Something definitely has happened as I pretty much never have a game crash and now suddenly so many in a row… And I keep getting them after I made this post.
same here, getting up to 1 minute freezes, sometimes the game crashes aswell. Never had any issues with crashes since launch
Do you get a black screen that keeps the game running?
Get the message ‘‘Not responding’’ end now or keep waiting.

same here… 6 or 7 crashes now in past hour
confirming freeze, game lockup 3 time in very quick succession .
Same thing, the game freeze, the “end process” or “wait” window appears Nothing happens and have to restart the game. Never had any problems before!

Nothing to do with alt tab.
Just take a break from playing, do something useful irl
This has to be brought to their attention instead of just not playing the game.
They have to see that there’s an issue causing people to crash.

I have the same problem and I am on a French server but it seems that I am the only one impacted by this problem. Even if I do not move the game can freeze at any time for 30sec-1min or crash
Same I’ve crashed twice and before that it froze twice
I’m seeing multiple threads about this now, so it’s not just random crashes.
Yeah, there are multiple threads and comments in the AGS discord, seems like a wide-spread issue
Was fine in the towns, Everfall and Windsward. As soon as I left into the open world I ran around for 5 mins before it froze and got this:
Missus tried playing on her computer too and got the same 
Game is unplayable today. Hope the devs wake up soon!

Same happened to me. 4 crashes while fishing in less than 1h. Never happened before.
Same, I’m fishing too at the moment.
