The game has been rubberbanding all week.
i have the same problem.keeps freezing please fix otherwise the game is unplayable

Thank you all for your input. I am sorry to hear you seem to be having sporadic crashes or disconnections.
Please try the following steps in order to troubleshoot this:
1- Please verify the integrity of game with the Steam integrity check
How To run a Steam Integrity Check
2- Close other applications that may be taking up your bandwidth.
3- Switch to a wired connection.
4- Restart your router and modem.
5- Troubleshoot your firewall.
-Press Windows + R, type “firewall.cpl” into the Run window, and then press Enter.
-Click Allow an app or feature through Windows Firewall and then click Change settings.
-Look for the game in the list of allowed apps and features. If it’s present, make sure it’s checked, and that both the Private and Public columns have a check mark. If the app is missing from the list, you need to add it.
*Click Allow another app…, locate and select the app, then click Add.
*Once you’ve done that, you need to ensure that the app is checked, and that it has check marks under both the Private and Public columns.
6- Test your connection for packet loss or buffering. To test, go here and click the big Start Test button to start the test. Once the test is complete, the results are displayed.
7- Ensure all your Windows and driver updates up to date.
8- Verify you are not using VPN or proxy services. (Note the use of VPN is not permitted when connecting to our servers).
If the issue persists after this, the scenario will require our tech team to look into your logs and follow up directly with other possibly sensitive account information that is best not posted on the forums so it would be best if you could please create a web ticket by going to Contact Us | Amazon Games.

These freezing problems happened after the new update came. And also none of these things you said work.

yes same this shape freezes
I sent the log files and dxdiag file to the support team. I hope it gets fixed

I get this problem as well, but it never unfreezes. I have to Alt+F4, pull up task manager, and then kill the game.
Relaunch, and then it’s good for a few minutes. It can then re-occur after a Fast Travel.

We are seriously back at the “verify your files” explanation? The lag in this game has been horrible from day one, people have shown their pings being bounced all over the world literally, and CoS was just shut down for maintenance with no notice after a huge day of lag and kick issues. It’s not us it’s the game. Please fix it.

Did the same thing as well as the troubleshooting, nothing fixed. And I still cant play today because of high latency issues AFTER THE PATCH 1.6.0 …

This is exactly what’s been happening to me since the medleyfaire patch. Horrible experience that ruins immersion and makes the game unplayable. It’s fortunately not so bad in 5-person expeditions, but in towns and elite chest runs etc… it’s terrible.

Whatever they did in that small update has made the Freezing/Stuttering so painful. Basicly every death is a drop to 2 FPS for 20 seconds.

same thing is happing to me but it very erratic and some time my screen actually shakes like it’s vibrating and the world ant still it happen in OPR A LOT and IN EXPODITIONS plz can we get some help i love the game but this stuttering it making it unplayable i can’t tank anymore because i usually stutter from abilities going off and it’s been since merge and even worse since update and also when the server is full it make it EVEN WORSE @Fenrirskoll

I am sorry to hear you are still having issues along these lines. Please note that, if the troubleshooting provided earlier in this thread did not alleviate this for you, the next step is to create a support ticket via the link on my first post as, unfortunately, we have no more troubleshooting we can conduct from this channel.
With that in mind and given how several of you are pointing out what is an unexpected behavior that apparently began after the last update, this thread would be better addressed in the Bug Reports section

Still happening game locks up and freezes. Usually when a lot of people are in one place, on OPR/Invasion/World Tour. Only way to end the game is by shutting it down in steam.
Press stop.
