I believe this game is still good and I enjoy every minute of my time in it!
It’s still MANY things that need to be fixed, but I’m confidend the Devs are aware and are working to fix them all.
But the game has improved A LOT since launch and the coming Brimstone update is going to bring back and get more people into the game again. I can’t wait to run around the Sands of Brimstone!
I actually manage to create Portal trains for a couple of hours the other day, loads of people joining! And it was a lot of fun! So I’m hoping to bring back the Portal runs again, at least I’m going to try
This got me thinking, there is probably going to be a new Elite Chest Run area right? My mind sort of starts to go wild thinking about what this will look like? So excited to spend time there, im a huge desert aesthetic guy so it just gets me fired up.
Well most people don’t play MMOs competitively so … there is no reason to tailor the game around top 3% of ultracompetitive sweaties. It won’t make the game succesfull.
I agree! A new chest run area would be nice! Running the same old in Ebon, Reek and Mourningdale are getting a bit tedious. Altho I enjoy the runs, get to collect a lot and smack some enemies to get a little standing as well.
The new dungoen is going to be a blast, the new enemy types too! Also can’t wait to level up the greatsword and see how it handles.
And there must be some new mats to collect I guess, it being a desert and all.
And the rewamp of the Portal runs are going to be great, I’ve missed them ever since they got abandoned.
Same! Im looking to potentially, build some sort of life stealing dps build that utilizes a combination of the GS defensives with a return of health on damage. Thinking GA/GS. A man can dream.
Did they talk about how they would be revamped? Sounds much needed.
Would love to see open world bosses, like the thanksgiving event which I really loved
Plus Raids, Raids, Raids. 8 person, 10 person, 15 person. Whatever it is I think it would realllyy provided that serious end game challenge for PvE we are looking for. Plus with how awesome the designs are for the expeditions we have now I would love to see the raids they make.

I meant people will start running Portals again after update to get the lodestones, but I honestly feel they need to have more of a purpose so that Portal running becomes as usual as chest runs and dungeons
More chest runs and portal trains as required content for player proggression is not the way. The player base evacuated from that as end game content on release. Trying to put lip stick on that pig for the Burning Sands update and player base return to give a 2nd chance to the game will not go well.
A very high perecentage of players never want to do another chest run or portal train.
II really enjoy doing portals and chest runs, I find it very relaxing for the most part and love seeing big clumps of players running around doing stuff together, its badass!
I hope in this months developer video we see some more of the zone and they touch on some of the activities included in the update. If I’m not mistaken they spoke about jumping puzzles as well, that would be very cool.
They made it so that you can’t solo the elite chests by manning every one of them with a legion of musketeers that stand in your way after you make the melee mobs retreat, and now they want you to check out the new zone’s Elite Chest farm so that you can get Wooden Coins for your Heartgem Rune upgrades and Golden Scarabs as that grand lottery prize.
I get they want to sweeten the pot on existing “content”, but you cannot really call it entertaining to just run around, burn a couple trash mobs, and press E until your inventory is stocked with trash and reagents. It was not good content back when Chest Runs was the only endgame activity due to Expeditions, OPR, and Portals being broken, and it certainly won’t be good content because you need it to progress in the near future.
