It’s 2 am CEST. Server is not even close to full, since its nighttime. Wanted to do some duels before going to sleep. Its lagging so hard arrows go straight through the enemies. Everyone is teleporting around. Abilities hit before the animations start.
Why even bother working on updates if the game is not playable?
Its not my pc btw, nor my internet connection. Every other game runs as it should.
This needs to get fixes asap.
Bumping. After the last patch the game has become unplayable with lag. Have tried all the usual tips/tricks and yes NW is the only game doing this.
musket shots missing, Housing freezing in between furniture selection, MP freezing at purchase then spam buys careful with this one… definitely needs addressing.
Let me add that this issue keeps getting brought up in forum and admins close each post out without replying. Let’s keep this one HOT and in front until things actually get FIXED.
Might sound dumb BUT at least for me, rolling back my NVIDIA video drivers by one version did a world of good!

Actually I do I’m a war veteran, we have alot of open world ambushes on elite chest runs which involve company’s with a large number of players… which involves generally huge numbers plus Ai… never suffer lag again as stated above upgrade your pc or isp I see no lag either server side or my own

Lag is not issue tho, its combat desync for mele, i can see that you are either healer or ranged so u might have fun, that is only reason you defending game problems.

We had two wars at the same time on our server, I don’t think I have to specify the server. All that needs to be known is, it’s New World. The war I took part in was a complete car wreck. We couldn’t move, were teleported to various locations of the level as a result fo the lag, we were unable to use skills, worse war ever. Lagging so hard, this makes the game/war unplayable. Needs addressing URGENTLY. Disable wars for heaven’s sake, something, we shouldn’t be wasting our time in an event for the game not to let us play it out. ._

Let me educate you rq about internet connection speed. 2 Main things are important to have a stable experience. Note- FPS has nothing to do with server stability.
TLDR: In gaming, you need a minimum download speed to maintain a proper ping for your location. Upload is irrelevant. As long as the connection is stable, a 20 ping connection at 2mbps will be just as stable as a 20 ping connection at 5000mbps. I think the minimum speed/lowest ping requirement is around 768kbps (dsl) - 1mbps. Maybe even lower, around 300kbps-500kbps. Which is why 56k dial up connections will produce a ping of 180-300 at your closest location while still being stable. The line isn’t fast enough to relay information from the server to your PC, but the traffic is stable.
So now we can use our common sense. If your connection tests in other games/programs/speedtests are performing normal, but not in new world, it is safe to say new world is the issue. Hopefully now we can refrain from such troll comments.

I used to login and do a few OPRs a day. Stopped because the performance which also has stopped a lot of people queuing which usually assures a lopsided game 75% of the time.
Same here, OPR was my favorite thing to do. Used to queue them all the time while dueling outside windsward etc. Last time I did an OPR was at least a month ago. The desync is just too much
I have 1GBs up/down and on a wired connection and can vouch for that this became worse after the server merge and winter wonderer patch. When I log on I often get only 1-2bars. I’ve tried VPN but it doesn’t help either.
