Received a Steam Authentication error (happens occasionally) and the game froze up. Normally I have to restart my system to get the game going again, so I did that.
Now the game is stuck on the splash screen. I’ve let it wait as long as 10 minutes but nothing changes.
Uninstalled and Reinstalled the entire game overnight, and this morning it’s still stuck on the splash screen. I did a file check through Steam and everything checked out okay.
I’m running an i7 with a GTX 1070 and 16 GB of ram on a newish 1TB SSD, so normally the game gets me to character select in under 30 seconds.
I’m really sorry to hear about the crashing/stuck issue you’re experiencing, the next troubleshooting I want to check with you before we escalate it, is the one related with the third party program EasyAntiCheat that is linked within New World for this connection issue:
Open New World in your Steam Library.
Right click on New World’s list title and then Go to Settings < Manage < Browse Local Files.
Open the EasyAntiCheat folder.
Run as administrator EasyAntiCheat_Setup executable file.
Make sure in the drop-down within EasyAntiCheat Service Setup New World is the selected game.
Press Repair Service.
After this process verify Steam Integrity Check files again:
Restart your PC.

Jmmm that’s weird because it should show up, in that case can you please re-install your EAC. After that please restart your computer and try the steps again.

I disabled my AV and I was able to get to the character load screen. However, now when I login from that screen, it hangs in the load screen. I was able to get in once, but the first time I fast TP’d it hung on loading.
This is ridiculous, the EAC Support page was no help whatsoever. I ran this game easily and fast for 4 months, and now it’s inoperable.
You need to provide a specific “Current Game 271” solution to EAC.
I’ve Googled and others have reported it, and Amazon has no stated fix. From what I’ve seen, the same error appears on other games using EAC. Please escalate this.
The error “Login Blocked: Suspicious Software or Corrupted Install Detected" , is a detection and block from Easy Anti-Cheat service reason why was wierd that EAC were giving you troubles.
I’m glad to hear that you can play now but if you experience this issue again I’ll advise you to please escalate this issue with a web ticket for an in-depth research and solution ASAP.
