Game suggestions - Neckbeard POV

Hi all. I am special… but im not feeling special. I ve just played A LOT New World and I woud love to finally give my suggestions. It may be another suggestion thread that probably will get ignored (and fast) but I still wanted to try. After all its about the game we love and everyone should be able to say their opinion and others may argue agree or improve an idea. So lets go:

  1. Would love to see same materials/coins/item rewards regarding the free battle pass and the paid version of it.
    Instead of an economic/gear advantage, you could give some quality of life to those that paid more. For example, paid battlepass could give lets say access to the trading post from anywhere in the world, even in middle of the desert. And while this is something that should ve been widely available already, one could argue that as the the studio needs money it can implement it even now and just for those that support further the game. Another quality of life that could have been used in the paid battle pass could be a storage access from everywhere in Aeternum. I repeat, such things should have been already, widely available, but not implementing them at all and making the battle pass giving even a small, economic/gear advantage, is a wrong way to go in my opinion.

2)Soloable dungeons. Either by downscaling the enviroment and the mobs or by adding NPCs to support the player.

3)Personal node cooldown: While many may argue that they wouldn’t like something like this, it will be a more casual friendly system than the current one. The game now has what, 20k core playerbase? The newcomers and/or the casuals would feel better to not see bots or no-lifers node camp almost everything and making tones of gold while the 1st mentioned stay behind on their progression. Also the gathering system is one of the most satisfying in games (if not the best) and its sad that you can use it only when you arrive first at a node. So, a personal node cooldown instead of map one, would impact mostly the hardcore gatherers (no-lifers+bots) making them generate less gold while it would boost the newcomers and casuals income and help them 1) enjoy the awesome gathering experience and 2)feel that their time in game is worth it and well spent. Another positive for a personal node cooldown is that people would stop farming in one and same part of the same map and instead will be forced to move around maps to farm the same resource in other spots, making the aeternum player presence wide and the open world feeling more alive and active. Hardcores can still be in an advantage on this system and may not have the right to complain as a casual or new player will be less possible to know all the good locations for farming lets say ironwood.

4)Adjust the damage that some mobs are doing in some areas. For example there is a tall guard with a long sword in Myrk that can wipe a 20 persons group in under a minute. Thats not fun and also isnt accurate according to the recomended area players numbers in whole myrk area which is “5”. Or ask the devs if they ever managed to complete myrk chest run and the portals in a 5 person group :).

5)Give us ways to utilize materials that arent sold/needed in the market not even for 0.01. Make them usable as baits for fishing? Make them salvagable? Put a vendor in cities that would buy them for even 0.01 (outside of the trading post system)? Make them consumable to grant xp on something?

6)Put a marker, a special colour, something to valuable items. I remember selling my goldfish in a bowl before months when I was leveling for 40k or something. Was 40k a lot for an under 60level player? Yes. Would my leveling be much more easy if I would get 400k for it? Yes. And without feeling scammed by the game and the everywhere found people that love taking advantage over others.

7)Making travelling possible from anywhere to any city/shrine, at least until we get mount(s). Its annoying, boring, time consuming, punishing and worthless to have to walk such long distances when you have to help lets say a new player in elite area in cutlass key. We live in 2023.

8)While I am an asocial solo pveer enjoyer that sees pvpers as a burden in each game, I think they deserve to get more maps both for OPR and an for 3vs3. It seems also that it takes for ever for them to get a content in early mornings/late nights. Those players paid the same ammount as I did and they got nothing important going for them since…forever. We got brimstone, new dungeons that already ingame, new dungeon that is coming, raid, open world events. I mean come on. Also this category of angry earth players that bring toxicity drama and divide to the mmos, tend to be hardcores and to play and support the games A LOT. Give them a bit more love plz. Also, due to the fact that their ego is bigger than the earth they tend to spend whatever it takes to take advantage over another neckbeard. One (and I say ONLY ONE NOT ALL!) map-area that would be always pvp on to make open world pvp a total chaos and disaster could also be a nice thing going for them I think.
Just put some elite chests inside, nodes and sit and ejoy the world burn. Just dont put any specific quest/resource behind something like this cause then the chaos will move to AGS discord and forums. Regional-server fights would make this mode 100x better as well if it was possible.

9)Show damage/healing output when viewing a not owned item. For example comparing an equiped hatchet with a trading post one, should show even the base damage (if not the total) after applying all the perks and attributes and traits the player is using. This way players will get a better knowledge of what is BIS and what is not which now is more of a “there is a god or there isnt any god” argument in trade chat channels. In any case make it for the new players/casuals easier to understand and harder to get scammed.

10)Do something with the downtime of the game patches/fixes. Some months, every week, I have to consider my life choices, wonder what else I should do to kill my time, while waiting for the game to be playable again. Like come on guys. Other ancient mmos that are older than dinosaurs implementing all the patches while the game is running and you just have to download the patch when you close the game and open it again.

  1. Of course bring more end game content in time with raids and stuff, make 10men or even 50men squads possible, have pvp 1v1 or 3vs3 tournaments (maybe even regional) and dont nerf everything to the ground. Make everything op. We need more muskets/greatswords/hatchets. Every weapon should feel op on its style. Sure meta will be meta but will let the pvp scene and the solo pvers have a wider diversity of builds. New Wolrd is amazingly beautiful in some aspects. If you continue building on them -no matter the hard competition- it will become one of the most succesful MMOS in human history and will generate you a lot of $. Generally, a FAIR, non pay to win MMO, that values your time and doesnt put you unavoidably against others playing “Hunger Games” while having a beautiful action combat with well balanced weapons that each one has its STRONG benefits will be hard to not be succesfull. If you add to this some cosmetic expensive items for showing off purposes and gold wiping ways from the game, I would argue that sooner or later, New World will become the Only World :3

Solo content is very needed right now. Regardless of cross-server-whatever.
Mobs scaling down should do the trick, and reworking the puzzles and the doors that require 3 staffs.
