Upon launching game in steam, the new world icon with the grey back ground stays stuck here.
When launching new world through my folder files, it says steam must be running to launch the game, what happened because it worked prior 2 hours, i hopped on another game and tried to come back and it wouldn’t load
Hi @fordf250boy!
I hope you are doing well and welcome to the forums!
Glad to have you here.
I understand your issue and I apologize for the inconvenience, quick question is there any error codes showing up when the game freezes? Also please try this in the meantime:
Verify the integrity of game files.
- Open your Steam client and go to LIBRARY . Right click New World and select Properties . In the left pane, select LOCAL FILES. Then click Verify integrity of game files.
- Allow the checking to complete. Then you can start New World and see if it crashes again.
Hopefully this helps, if not, looking forward to your reply!
i have redownloaded steam, and new world, and checked integrity of files, other games on steam work so im confused.
Thanks for the quick reply @fordf250boy!
Ok I understand, may I know what troubleshooting you have tried? Also are you getting any error codes after the game freezes?
Once again I apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused you.
i got it figured out thank you
I have the same issue, so i wonder, how did you get it working finally?
Redownloaded the game twice now, and still just that New World logo on the screen with nothing else happening.
I was out of the game for 2 hours, did nothing, then jumped back in and this happened.
I’m getting so frustrated now…
Hello, i am having the same issue as Shocker74, except this issue appeared overnight. It seems that my game only launches to the logo on screen but does not go past this. I have uninstalled New World and re-installed it twice, then i verified the files through steam but it has done nothing. i have also restarted my pc after each step…What should i do next?
Ok, after reinstalling the game a third time and still getting the same nothingness, i tried one more thing that solved the problem for me at least.
I have no idea why this worked, but, i reinstalled the nvidia geforce driver, same one i had since Dec 20th.
So for me at least for now, it worked.
