Is this still a thing? Having 30% gathering luck and 10% global luck while being flagged?

As of 2 months ago, Devs have stated that the below is still technically active/valid for servers. So while the tooltip does not mention gathering luck, its still there.
Yes, that dev blog is the most recent article we have on Luck. There was a smaller one within one of the “Update on Current Issues” dev blogs we posted last year but I would refer to the one you linked.
Does PVP mode enabled Luck give you better chances to get rare items and artifacts?
PvP provides players with 10% Global Luck to roll a Named item, and 30% Gathering Luck, which helps in earning low-drop chance items. The Luck received in PvP functions the same as any other source of Global or Gathering Luck, so depending on the creature or gatherable, it will increase the chance of finding the rare things from those loot attempts.
The PvP luck bonus only applies in the open world and doesn’t apply during instanced content, like Expeditions, since there is no PvP threat.

I have to pvp flag for the 10% global luck and 30% gathering luck bonus (ofc otherwise my 0,5% luck trophies are wasted)
But i have to wear luck set in stead of pvp set… for max luck during chest runs and open world runs. Makes sense?
I have to switch to luck gear before i open every chest, then switch to pvp again?
What about all other builds for mining etc?
Also we cant pvp when we are in queues or lobbies for expedition (which makes no sense), so while waiting i cant do any shit in this game
I dont regret flagging as pvp because otherwise i will never ever see another pvper in this game… but having to pvp for optimal luck is weird design as there is no luck in pvp activities?!
Why do we have to choose between luck and fun/efficiency? Why does pvp give luck bonus?

I dont think PvP Luck works anymore, they removed the text and it only shows +10% EXP.
They probably removed it because no one wanted to run around gathering in PvP anyway.
It still works. They removed the tool tip because it triggers people.
