I honestly think That this game has one of the worst systems for gathering/reward in place that is possible in a MMO, I mean Black desert online at least had rewards of hards and sharps that dropped when you had gathering gear and proper tools to do so. I do feel that even with gathering gear and food buffs that the drops are So low, and Lets be honest it is lifeskillers that feed any pvp setup we are the ones that farm the pots/food/metals ores for gear and etc…
Point is the Games lifeskilling aspect of New world needs rebalanced and more rewarding.

its that broken that it took me 24 hours(diffrent days 5 total) to get 1 void ore from farming orichalcum, all gear had 4.9 8.9 on the pick 8.9 on a neck + food 2000 + 200 mining.
Friend went out roughly the same amount of luck if not less, found 5 void ores in 5 hours.
I still think its litrually rng xD
It is not just void or it is any drop from logging, harvesting, mining, anything that has value or could be useful is so rare a drop it is like a myth.
Pointing out something broken and not balanced is not Negative, however blindly white knighting and acting as nothing is wrong is in fact more harmful than good. It shows no desire to see the game to its full potential.
You actually have gotten void ore? I’ve been mining since the beginning and haven’t seen one drop EVER. In full mining gear and food buff and trophies
