So you want every resource to become worthless due to overfarming ? What should any player even spend coin on if not resources and gear, you could just go out and grab it then.
this is some communism BS.

Obviously - and if they had a stronger one specifically for creatures that you get rare resources from then it would give more people access to a reasonable amount of resources in a reasonable time frame.
I personally enjoy the competitive nature of resource hunting/farming but I can also acknowledge that itâs not for everyone and in the current state with bots and no lifers hard camping nodes it just turns people off the game. Unless youâre playing on a dead serverâŚ
I agree with you completely, you are right.![]()
Dude itâs not âyoursâ. Itâs there and whoever grabs it first itâs theirs. This attitude just shows true PvPers shortlined temper. âPunishâ for âstealingâ âmyâ resourcesâŚ
+1 for random spawn, it is an absolute nightmare to harvest anything past iron on populated servers though. Nodes have a 10min respawn or so I think, regardless of how many people are mining in that zone.
Respawn time for nodes depends on size and resource rarity e.g. Ironwood takes from 10 min (small) to 30 min (Large) to respawn. If I remember correctly, similar time tables are for Wyrdwood, Starmetal, Orichalcum, Silkweed and Wirefiber. You just need to set up your gathering routes in a way that you will not stand and wait, just collect other resources in the mean time.
Thatâs what Iâm saying! Iâm saying I was there first, I was already mining that node, and/or I did kill the animal. So even if youâre first, other players can still skin or take the node that you were working on.
Youâre wrong. Simply. The reason the market has value is due to supply and demand. Bots are already filling orders like crazy. You give every single one of them plus every single player instanced nodes, you will dilute the market so horribly, that it will be near impossible to generate income doing crafting unless youâre selling your dailies⌠By limiting these resources in an instanced fashion only makes the entire game one giant cool down and that sucks for players who just want to heavy on a Saturday, or even just players who only really farm things for their game style as I do, and while itâs difficult to do, Iâm on Valhalla and still have the means to collect items with an hour a day or a couple hours on a weekend.
This participation trophy mentality where people are crying because their most populated node farming area is full of other people is ridiculous. The game should be difficult. Itâs open world. Youâre competing with other people ALL the time⌠Go play a single player game or move to a less populated server if youâre just not a fan of it, but please god donât change the entire setting of the game because a few people who play 15 minutes a week canât get ori during that time.
Again, maybe moving to a less populated server would be better for the people who donât âmake it a second jobâ.
Giving everyone handouts will dilute the price, making it more difficult to generate income. Randomized instanced nodes is the PERFECT solution for disrupting bots, and offers the ability for players to have more of a fun time collecting⌠You could be camping an area with 2 other people, and it spawns closer to you, or them, or 20m away and you see it on your radar first (which actually puts it to use with all the mappings out there now).
Itâs a viable solution that doesnât burn the economy to the ground, and if anything, will help propup certain parts as the same people who complain about bots are iâm sure are putting in 10000 piece stone orders to get filled by them to do runestone dailies.
Too many opinions, too many complainers thinking their idea is better.
Meeting in the middle is the only real option we have.
If you canât deal with the fact that youâre going to have competition in MMOâs, maybe theyâre not the type of game for you.
Gathering materials needs a rework, personal cooldown or random spawn. Would really help the economy and trade post.

My suggestion was randomizing a 30m radius from the original spawning location. This can conclude the scenic setups for ori wagons that have tumbled over etc without making them not look great. Keep players having a general idea of where nodes are, rather than having tons of spawns in locations that will never be searched. It also disrupts the bots from being able to goto coordinate farm continue (at least for now). Makes farmable areaâs more competitive rather than someone who just happens to hit E quicker than you do, and it doesnât brutally hurt the economy.
Bots being eliminated will already make many of the lower tier items increase in price, or at the least, make players forced to collect them individually, at which point would be great considering theyâll have plenty to do in terms farming something
Ppl are only complaining about t5 items. Remove the bots entirely, Iâd be eager to see whos going out and collecting all the stone, and all the lodestone needed to make runestone.
Then the new argument will be that crafting requires too many resources and weâll all be back at square one again.
ONLY part i agree with OP is on skinning, if you kill it you should be able to skin it first, if you are to slow it is FFA.
This is EXACTLY how you break an economy
This is the way to fix the economy, so gold constribution get more even to all players.
Look, the issue is not whether gathering nodes are or are not PvP-oriented, part of the competitive spirit of MMOâs, yadda yadda yadda.
The issue is 2-fold:
Problem 1 wonât go away any time soon because the almighty gods of Amazon donât really care. Try reporting bots and see what happens: either they get a 3 day ban if enough people report them or absolutely nothing happens. Itâs frustrating when a company wonât invest the time and people to clean house, but there it is.
Problem 2 wonât go away anytime soon because for as many people out there that will move on to try and find another node, there are likely just as many who think their time and needs are more precious than yours. And of course there are some that get a strange sort of satisfaction at griefing other people, especially if you cannot do anything about it.
Randomizing node spawn geographic locations makes sense to me. It would keep bots at bay to a significant degree, and allow more nodes to be available to actual players. It would also lessen the number hell-bent-double-roll -and-speed-boost players from racing past you to get a node, because they would have to hunt them down just like everybody else, not race you to a known spot.
As for the griefers, not much can be done, with the existing game mechanics allowing them to be asshats. If everyone flagged for PvP it wouldnât be as much of a crying point, but then PvE isnât going away - so you canât really argue the game is at the core all about PvP.
Minus a complete rework of the node system - which to my knowledge there are no plans in the works - youâll just have to put up with players who donât give a damn about you.
Like 5 or 10 seconds skinning protection? I like that idea! ![]()
IâŚwaitâŚwhat?

Burn the economy to the ground? There are so many ways to generate gold besides selling mining materials. Nodes should be instanced with a cooldown so us crafters donât waste precious time running around from missing nodes to anothers. They could even add mobs to guard them, I donât mind. My server is full most of the time and even less contested routes are depleted so I agree with Terindar.
If youâre gathering and they drag a horde of mobs to you to interrupt your gathering and they steal that node, report them for greifing. Thats what I do, toxic behavior gets the report button.
Sorry but your whole message is a big nothing, empty. I probably know more mmorpgs than you, there are a lot of mmorpgs that dont make you compete with others and be successful, some much more than New World, therefore its not abnormal to give such examples for the betterment of New World, if they can do it, so can AGS. And i know the market, so dont try to teach me about mmorpgs and claim they might not be for me lol. And No, im not wrong. Just because you dont have the capacity to understand or realize that there are ways to balance the economy, it doesnt make my idea bad, thats your problem, not mine. I shall not reply to you again since youre full of empty words, false ideas and false assumptions.
