They did the same thing a few weeks ago but instead of firestaff they cried about muskets and how every opr is filled with them. Funny because every time someone told them how weak it is and it is the least played class they always switched to the next weapon in line which was the magic weapons.
Are not they OP ? I hit more from 625 firestaff lmb than 625GA, and when I play with GA I need to sprint around 40 meters to any range player, and he will roll. Yesterday I was able to bully more musket carebears than with GA no u cant run cuz I am range too muhaha xd 3,5k crit with heavy spell.
Did you tried IG/VG in medium? You don’t have mobility but you have a ton of dmg, it’s freaking OP af. I can bit 1v3 easily with my set, and I have Absortion, Lifesteal, Sacred and Divine I’m a tank with a ton a dmg LOL
I prefer VG/FS I dont like one way ticket builds for with chances to chase or run away. Dunno why people complning on 5 OPRs I get caught in GW only once, but I drunk resistance potion and I have not even lost 1/4 HP I hide on my melees back and continue fight. Ofc I play in medium armor, still I can kill every light armor user on 1 full combo and 2 heavy attacks. Build 300 int 200 const.

Did not say that but difference should not be such big !! You know why ? Cuz Magic weapons are range, their advantage is that they can attack from distance. GA is melee it means u have to come close and if range weapons can attack fast and harder it will means that any melee character will not be able to get wnough close to range dps before he will be dead. FS has dmg over time fast cooldowns, IG/VG has cc, damage overtime and also fast cooldowns. GA has good dps in close combat, GW for massive fights. Is very hard to defeat any mage 1v1 for melees execpt those players who forgot they need to move, dodge durning fight and stayin hard with their light armor and 7k HP then they complain … xd

90% of all fire staff attacks that HIT (doesn’t matter light or heavy) do not register a drop in HP. Meaning most everyone has 10K+ HP and the damage output is so incredibly low that Firestaff isn’t a threat to most everyone and anyone.
A new player, clueless, has such a high chance of accidentally gearing for invulnerabilty against ranged attacks (axe /hammer) that there’s little reason to play anything else. Aside from healer. One or two swings with the axe or hit with hammer has your opponent stun locked or down 6K HP and unable to fight back (see: When do I get to play the game?)
This game would be so much fun if those 3 weapons were nerfed into the ground or deleted.
If you’re taking 6k damage from 1 or 2 hits of an axe, you need to put actual armor on.
Why do we need the constant hyperbole when it comes to the damage that melee does?
If you ACTUALLY want it to be easy, put on the ice guantlet.
Rapier is really good too because I have 2 really good escapes

Yeah now that you cant steal downed players he probably isnt getting any kills. I predict 5 or less per game with that rapier equipped.
Any serious mage would be running FS IG right now. IG slows and roots are just way too powerful in OPR.
IG is a complete crutch for 70% of the players running it. Funny that it pairs with every weapon and you dont even need to commit int to perform on it.
Hit detection is booty cheeks on GA unless it’s against another bruiser.
Do you know how many times a light user that escaped my combo and healed up stood still and waited for my axe attack to start and just dodged and repeatedly crouched on me til my swing was over, then did it again? He could roll sniff my asshole then do it again on my clicks. If I got GWell on him he would entomb, then dodge roll out. You could feint an attack but it wouldn’t matter, he’d roll again. And Regen delay on stamina is so fast that stamina isn’t a question.
If I had reap or maelstrom up he could pot, then roll and sniff my asshole some more. Only thing strong about GA is Grav Well because people don’t know how to press shift when they see a 1 second wind up on a GA
Side note, I run BB 250/150 with 100 con now in medium. Possibly switching to light once I get enough asmo/RL/PW and man. 560 BB with hatchet when I get swamped is fun as fuck. Being ranged has, even as short as BB is, has almost no risks, you see grav wells from a mile away, you can hit them as they’re rolling away, you can DPS someone while running away, dodge, shot, dodge, shot, easy clap.
The game has become extremely less frustrating when it comes to PvP just adding BB to the arsenal due to me not having to lick someone’s face to do damage. Hence Grav Well being strong, you can ACTUALLY get close to someone. Fuck that noise, I’ll just smack with a BB and be an evade trick like the rest. I get more damage, more kill, more assists and Im higher on OPR boards since I switched and I have a 560 BB with ONE BiS perk.

I’ve never played a game like New World where when you participate in wars all of the mages attack the melee players and enemy mages and healers stand shoulder to shoulder but won’t attack one another.
It’s like a firing line of mages vs melee it’s hilarious at times. There’s like a mage truce in wars if you didn’t know any better.
That’s probably due to people getting rostered on damage in wars. Why attack one healer that’s rubbing your shoulder when you can spam a bunch of bruisers on point and miss ever? Lol.
Stat padding. I think wars need an overhaul, but that’s me. I’d rather see rounds of 50v50 with no respawn. Like a tug of war. 50v50 last man standing, revives allowed, if you win, you get, “a point,” after 3 points you then cap the fort point. 5 rounds of 5 minutes, then a 10 minute finale. This zerg point shit is dumb.
Best PvP I’ve ever had was the 50 man zergs for pushing a territory in the open world. No point, just straight deathwatch.
