Gaxe/Hammer are the "I don't know how to PvP" weapons

Everyone and their mother is out here using the Gaxe/Hammer combo and it’s absolutely stupid.

No skill is needed when using either of these, it’s just brain-dead gameplay at it’s finest.

When can changes be made so every single OPR or War isnt just axe/hammer?

War Hammer is actually pretty hard to use against someone that knows how to play.

Greataxe is a hot meme though.

GA should kill on one shot now it is totally weak and unplayable. Mean mages are massacring me with damage.

I’ve said this a dozen ways.
If you look at any weapon besides AXE there’s major vulnerabilities.
Fire - Get close, there’s NO CC, low dmg, hard to hit skill shot (pillar).
Rapier - All about timing, no grit, no stagger, if you miss your combo you’re going to get smashed, incredibly vulnerable to CC.
Bow - It’s all about skill, if they get close, you’re dead every single time. You’re a glass cannon, that can’t get away… You need to hope they don’t turn a Bloodlust, Charge, Reap.
I’m not going to keep going, but compare that with Axe, If you miss an ability, your LMB does ability level dmg, you can pull them back to you without waiting abilities. If they try to run you can grav them, if you need to get close, you charge, and bloodlust. Nobody can get away. If you miss your abilities, you can still run them down and left click them to death. You don’t need to aim, you don’t need to really target them. It’s VERY hard to play Axe very badly(but some people manage it). You can run almost anyone down because Axe dmg is very high, and heavy armor has too much mitigation.

Have to agree. I was dueling my buddy last night as he tries to figure out how in the world to beat my void gauntlet build. When he put on the hammer I dodged every CC he threw. I surprised myself because I didn’t even realize I knew the animations so well, but if you spot them they are so easy to dodge as well.

But in OPR when you have 5 hammers spamming CC it’s so over the top and boring.

There needs to be diminishing returns on hard CC.

I know at least 10 people who quit pvp entirely until Great Axe is nerfed into an appropriate state instead of the meme state it currently is in. Not to mention they are rewarded with LIGHT void bent gear? lol what a disaster

edit: and they definitely aren’t the only ones avoiding pvp in the meanwhile…

Yeah i agree. 5 GA/Hammer Players shouldnt be able to kill one Voidgauntlet Player.

Thats Just totally unbalanced.

Endorsed and buffed by that guy who works at AGS and loves dual wielding two big D’s

Yep.

It’s also a very noob friendly weapon.

Grit, AoE CC’s with short cooldowns, sweeping 180 degree attacks, etc.

In smaller PvP with experienced players, though, not so great of a weapon.

Yeah not even anything along the lines of what I said.

You are all just weak

If you can play this game and use hammer/axe and think it’s not big time broken, you’ve got some issues going on upstairs and should get checked out.

GA is the most skilled weapon in the game but has poor damage. However, I am a good player and I can handle it. Only problem is with these op mages.

Most skilled weapon in the game?

Okay, you’re clearly trolling

I wouldn’t of thought that amount of dripping sarcasm could be mis-interpreted in any way.

Of course it is ironic. People are producing to prove that GA is op and all AGS can do is write that he listens to us. With them it is like a child who says he listens to his mother. They seem to listen but they still do their own thing and then have problems. They saw the feedback on this patch and yet they released it in such a horrible state

David agree with you

Also pick gaxe/hammer and show us how op you will become or just stop crying, it is annoying.

what do you mean. the skill axe is a perfectly fine well rounded and precisely balanced nuclear bo… uhm i mean melee weapon. AGS said so. nothing to see here.
