My gear is everywhere and searching for entire sets for the various skill-based armors, (skinning luck, woodcutting, mining gear, etc.) is extremely tedious. and I try to keep all my sets in a single settlement but it takes up so much space. My idea is something I haven’t really seen in other games mixed with things that work within those games. Often, other MMOs I’ve played have some sort of system to assign items to a gear set so you can click a button within the inventory and equip all the gear from that set you carrying making the tediousness of swapping gear sets around more streamlined. However, this doesn’t fix the weight issue. My proposal is to; under armoring or engineering; have a craftable box to store armor sets in. you would be able to place items, tools, weapons, and consumables in these boxes when u clicked open on an empty box in a sort of inventory style GUI where u can choose what slots your consumables go in. Then, once all items have been placed in this box where you would like them, the box can be opened and all your armor, tools, etc, would be equipped, replacing your currently equipped and replacing the set from the opened box. The weight of the box by default would be the weight of the items inside -5% at their 1 wood box. This weight could then be reduced as its upgraded to iron, star metal, orichalcum, void, and other metals (say -5% weight per tier as an example) and for extra weight reduction, you could enhance the item with azoth, giving it use since there is so much of it around with no place for it to go.
Also, to go along with gearboxes, a locker could be added as a housing item that can store gearboxes specifically at an even more reduced weight so these boxes and the general amount of gear people have aren’t clogging up their storages at various settlements.
TLDR: add a box that holds armor sets at a reduced weight, make it craftable and sellable, and enhance its weight reduction with azoth. Maybe a housing item that does the same aswell.
