Gear system is REAL problem of New World

You can’t hate the game if you don’t play. :exploding_head:

Still nothing to do with topic and design problem. Guess you are just too stupid to see it.

main focus behind gearing should be crafted in this game. watermark system is absolutely terrible.

:joy: this is amazing is that you or just a clip?

ya and when you spend hours beyond hours crafting and managing storage space, you finally get to 200 lvl in crafting to spend more hours gathering materials to make your item for it to RNG roll Intell strength with Healing Perk and increased damage to beasts. GREAT SYSTEM

that system is better than the watermarking, JMO

however i think gear should have been disposable in general. no repairs allowed, or just full looting.

so you’re saying you’re willing to spend a week+ farming voidbent armor for you to have it break and just thrown out? Or how about a zerg of PVP’ers run past you while flagged and wreck you. Go play Albion if you want disposable gear and full loot pvp.

yes. if you want the best advantage possible it should come at a cost. this would make crafting 10x more valuable then it is now. mid level weapons would have value, and everyone would save their sunday best for the most important wars.

i dont like albion, isometric pvp games are terrible.

Ye that would Kinda fix the problem with the gear system. Its just so easy to get what is very good gear. I’m not saying i cant upgrade my gear cause not 600 as said, but buying/farming legendary 600gs just to get feeling of disappoitment after you put it on and not notice ANY difference is very bad.
Not had this type of issue in any game i played since zx spectrum. In every game getting UPGRADE feels good but they managed to mess it up somehow oO

But still would not be an solution for PVE players like myself. Once You clear all content thats it does not matter if gear would break or not. You cleared itand wont be any point to go back there to farm any gear as gear for few coins off trade house will do the job.

Then they should make a zone like the wildy (runescape) or dark zone (division) that is full loot pvp with high risk high rewards. You go in with disposable gear, leave your best gear at home. Go in with a group of friends to collect valuable items and extract or run out. I wouldn’t mind seeing something like that.

they would have to switch the incentive from gear to something else. gear should be a secondary thing. or like i said, farm for the good stuff, save it for the big leagues. UO operated this way. maybe flesh out the invasion/portals system a little better, who knows. lots of potential ideas, probably none that would be visited now though.

the gearing system seems to be cast in stone, and pve seriously lacking. i dunno what they can even add to make it appealing at this point.

darkzone would just be like flagging is now, people would just avoid it if they dont like pvp, and pvpers wouldnt take any good loot in there, just garbage. either way the system we have is here to stay, not much point speculating on what could work or not.

agreed, what we have is what they will stick with. Amazon changed this game from PVP to PVE less then a year ago because the higher ups wanted a game with longevity. It went from Open world survival MMO to theme park, loot shooter within a year. PVE games last longer.

Indeed and this gear stats system will not work in pve game. On pvp game like it was planned to would not be problem cause was supposed to be loot one.
