I think GEARING design WILL KILL THIS GAME at lest for pve guys liike myself. Let me explain,
Going from rare to epic to legendary gives NOT ENOUGH gear progression…
What i want to say by that.
Lets say you are full blue geared 550 with good perks. You are hitting mob fo rets say 700.
Now You spend hours and hours of farming and buy 560 purple gear. And now you hit that mob for 720.
Then u spend a month to farm legendary 600 gear and you hit that mob for 740.
You can hit 60 go to Trade house and buy full good itemized armour with good perks for weapons you are using for like 2000gold on our realm.
Time effort cost of getting better gear is TOTALLY NOT REWARDING.
Im a healer with around at 565+ with good perks. And with this system i can basically quit playing this game cause feels like I WON THE GAME.
There is no endgame PVE content besides watermark/gear farming that with this system ITS POINTLESS.
Dungeons iw done few times did some loot trains some pvp etting close to 400 hours (rest is queue time haha)
Upgrading from my courent gear to 600 legendary in every slot will give me extra 16 atribute points. But what’s that good for ??
I’m at 326 focus and 111 constitution. With how bad stat scaling design is there is no point of me getting extra 16 focus, actually anything pass 300 is/feels kinda waste. I could put 16 more in Constutution BUT whats that good for ?? I dont Die anyway… Extra Armour from item level not much use either as… I dont die anyway.
Thats why i think gearing system is biggest new world FLAW. It’s first game with loot where GEAR UPGRADING IS NOT REWARDING OR FUN…
Also, it’s good to note that armor value does not reduce your damage received in PvP. An armor with 200GS and another with 600 will have exactly the same damage reduction in PvP.
@Sheil ye took me like 203 days of Trade house checking after work to get a good gear set. Out of boredom also collected DPS and Tank gear sets in like week…
So you got burnt out for playing close to 500h in a little over a month. See these I’m burnt out post on the daily. Take it a break see you in a few months.
CAN you read its not post about burnout… its post about bad game design that will finish new world off.
Lets say we take 5 months break and they add new pve content dungeons bosses ect. And maximum gear goes from 600 to 650.
I can guarantee You that wih courent system you wont notice a thing if you grind from 600 to 650. Mobs will die about same speed you will take same amount of damage.
THAT IS PROBLEM no carrot on the stick.
Upgrading gear in a loot game no being rewarding is a massive problem.
raising gear score farming boxes is boring unfun and not interesting at all
going to same spots following same lame train looting boxes not that fun dudes
hellov not creative at all
ya and when you spend hours beyond hours crafting and managing storage space, you finally get to 200 lvl in crafting to spend more hours gathering materials to make your item for it to RNG roll Intell strength with Healing Perk and increased damage to beasts. GREAT SYSTEM
so you’re saying you’re willing to spend a week+ farming voidbent armor for you to have it break and just thrown out? Or how about a zerg of PVP’ers run past you while flagged and wreck you. Go play Albion if you want disposable gear and full loot pvp.
yes. if you want the best advantage possible it should come at a cost. this would make crafting 10x more valuable then it is now. mid level weapons would have value, and everyone would save their sunday best for the most important wars.
i dont like albion, isometric pvp games are terrible.
