Currently, there are 3 achievements under the “Instanced Teamplay” category which require us to “use resources to repair structures”. These achievements are “Handy Person”, unlocked at 10,000 resources used, “I Got This”, unlocked at 100,000 resources used, and “General Contractor”, unlocked at a whopping 1,000,000 resources used.
As someone whose company owned Everfall, and whose ally owned Windsward, I was able to make it into nearly every invasion for these two territories, and was even lucky enough to be allowed to be our primary repair person for these invasions. Even still, I averaged about 850 repair parts used in a single invasion.
Another means of making progress towards this achievement would be in Outpost Rush. Unfortunately, the first 40 wood you use to build a gate does not count at all. Only when the gate you’ve already built has taken damage or been destroyed can you begin using wood at a 1:1 ratio to repair the gate. Furthermore, you can only repair a gate if your team actually still owns that point! At most, I have been able to squeak out 100 repair parts used in a single Outpost Rush.
What does this mean? It means that even if you are consistently the one running repairs for your invasion (which is a very, very small percentage of a server’s population), you will still need to do over 1,000 invasions, or close to 10,000 rounds of Outpost Rush.
My suggestion: Scale the achievements down by a factor of 10. Give us the first at 1,000 repair parts used, the second at 10,000 repair parts used, and the third at 100,000 repair parts used. This is still a massive goal to work towards, but at least makes it possible for those of us who wish to grind it out.
