People just expect to be able to play heavy 200 con and be invincible rather than risk it with low con and higher damage for the kills, first shot on a heavy will only hit for 1400 and the consecutive shots will begin to stack up for more damage to about 2.2k max which is just not even worth shooting at when I could just pressure healers and have others with higher sustain damage weapons whittle a tank down.
They got themselves in a situation with it tho where they want muskets to be able to sit on the wall in wars to use siege and reach the point and behind it. But it’s annoying to face in opr when muskets sit very far away I hope they can figure out a good medium as it would make muskets seem in a better light rather than just all muskets are rock campers

Muskets are lmb spamming for you? Do you unironically think that if you spam as fast as you can with a musket you will be effective? Because that means no aiming, and even one miss is punishing enough to get you killed or let the opponent hide/run away.
you literally have to left click to do any damage with musket. its a hitscan weapon the most that makes you miss is how the game feels at that moment. its not something anyone can pick up but its not hardest thing to hit with in the game. also that end bit can be said about any weapon even one missed ability is enough to get you killed or let the opponent hide/run away basically describes melee v ranged combat.
People seem to have better aim/more success with the bow than the musket. I’m talking about the same player. It seems like most people are not very good with the musket and get <5 kills in OPR, but once they use the bow they get >10 kills. That discrepancy is hard for me to understand. It’s not an isolated occurrence. It really seems like the bow is easier than the musket for most people.
Because projectile weapons are more forgiving. All you need to feel the velocity which you do after a few hours and then you can just spam it roughly lead them and will get hits.
bows and muskets get 1 tapped by any aoe , thers no way they can sit inside a cap, unless they lower ga and hammer dmg, which they are not, 1 aoe from a hammer, staggers u and takes halfd ur health if ur light armor and using proper musket build. Theres absolutely no way a bow or musket is gonna survive in middle of caps, and axe and hammer users never gonna dmit there class way too easy, so its prolly gonna stay the same… nno ranged is gonna baasically sacrfice there self, just to stand on a capf or 10 secs… 99% of time ur gonna end up rollingfor ur life adnd potting, just to die anyways imagine being 6k health, with no armor in a zone were 15 hammer users are spamming shockwave and path of destiny on top of that gravity wells and massively over used LMB attacks from ga and hammer… jesus think about what ur asking before u say it… makes zero sense… melee so entitled i n this game lol, melee have no idea what there asking ranged to do when they ccomplain about them not in middle of a cap.
So basically we should just always throw when we have majority bows & muskets because their scared to be on point over aoe? Excuse me, I queue up to win, not to stat pad like the current rolly polly’s do. Low con is their choice.
All of em run rapier anyway and or spend all their time running & stat padding. If their not good enough to avoid an enemy aoe is really not my problem. It’s not outrageous to want them to get on point. That is the objective of the match. Secure forts and score points. Oh oh no but that’s right, all they care about is being top 5 on a biased scoreboard that favors their boring playstyle.
Melee fight for us on the point, while the worst ya’ll range dps have to worry about is other range dps. The least ya’ll can do is get on point n fight with the team. But I guess points matter more to ya’ll than the actual obj. Not surprised. When I see a full set of range on team I know it’s gg. If asking you to get on point is too much. Don’t expect heals. The melee on point deserve them more than ya’ll stat padding brats circle jerking on the road.
Its already practically gone on my server because as a lot of bow players said, people will check it out for a while and then move on. Well they have moved on. Now OPR is all S&S cheese builds.
