Get rid of the insane RNG in crafting

Obtaining 600 GS BIS items is unavailable for the vast majority of the player base as drops from dungeons, bosses, OPR, or War have like 0.0001% chance to drop a 600 GS item with any decent stats. Crafting those items is basically hidden behind an impregnable gate for anyone except like 5% of the player base.

The 595-600 GS RNG
You need multiple rolls to even have a chance to roll a 600 GS item while the price of all the materials makes it almost impossible for most of the players to do 10 rolls and hope for the 600 GS one as the price of the materials is between 5 to 10 thousand gold per roll.

The perks RNG
Even if you are fortunate enough to roll a 600 GS item most of the time you are going to get only one good perk which you select at the beginning of the craft and the other 2 are most likely going to be absolute garbage. To roll 3 out of 3 perks you want to require like 100 rolls unless the gods of chaos are on your side. And only companies that hold major cities have access to the piles of gold needed to do that, casual players which is still the majority of the player base cant even dream about owning a single 600 GS BIS item.

The Umbral shards going to work only with 600 GS items
So all those who have 595-599 GS items with 2 decent perks can get 600 GS items which much worse perks that will reduce their overall power or somehow obtain like 2 million golds to be able to buy a 600 GS bis set as usual price for one 600 GS bis item is around 100 to 300 thousand gold.

So AGS please rethink your layer upon layer of RNG and allow players to get good gear as it’s right now available only to a selected few and it will lead only to bigger unbalanced in the game. As the richest companies will be running wars in 625 GS BIS items while others won’t be even able to go over 600 GS. As the mutator dungeon system force you to farm for eternity in lower difficulties or obtain several 600 GS PVE gears to be able to complete the highest difficulties levels. This will only result in gating content and end-game gear for the vast majority of the player base and even higher benefits for the companies that own 2 or all 3 major cities.

First of all

  1. Use timeless shards
  2. Do not craft for yourself until you’re able to do 595-600GS roll
  3. you can easily do 1 roll per day just by playing 1-2 hours.
  4. Getting BIS should NOOOT be easy, it’s a grinding game, getting a BIS needs to be insane !! not something that happens every week.

Or like ,get rid of the insane rng everywhere. 1000 + hours and not a single usefull item looted in pve and pvp . It is one thing to have rng but NW loot rng is just whole new beast that i never experienced before …in mmorpg

  4. With almost 1.5k hours played I crafted only like 5 BIS items, getting BIS should be hard, but not insane.
    You need to find a balance between the hardcore no lifers and casual players. How long do you think the casual players would like to play if they won’t be able to win any PVP, OPR, or War?
    Right now casuals can’t even turn on PVP to gather resources cause I can 1 vs 4 them as the power of my gear and playing a meta build allow me to do so. Companies which doesn’t own at last one of the 3 major cities are basically cut from the chance of getting BIS as for ex. on my server we own all 3 of them the wars are won before they even start.
    So I don’t know how you, but having a 600 BIS is good but if you will end up alone on the server they will be useless. All decent players should have access to the BIS gear and not only those who play 10h a day or buy gold.

My reference to 1 roll per day was for casuel players, if you do 10 rolls a day and only have 3 BIS, you are ‘‘unlucky’’ it’s sad but MMO were not made for Casual player, the second you try to make a game casual friendly it dies. Just keep grinding you’ll get there :slight_smile:

Under what rock you have been hiding or you are just trolling? New World already lost significant portion of it’s playerbase and continuing to loose even more as people including me are getting sick of the RNG. The gearing in this game is basically the worst in any MMO I ever played, as the pool of the perks is just an insanity as you are also rolling from perks that are completely useless for your class. With the umbral shards where you going to update your current gear this is becoming even bigger problem. Those who don’t play 10+ hours a day and are members of the company which owns one or multiple major cities can’t afford to buy any single good item and it’s one of the main reasons they are leaving.
