Good to know.
If I subjectively, personally find anything offensive I can get people banned.
Hadrian did nothing wrong when you read about what lead up to it.

So then why are people allowed to have “TTV” in their name?
What about streamers that have named their company after themselves? They are advertising their business
It is offensive to see people advertising twitch.tv, a real world organization, via their in game name or in game company name.
Is AGS going to be fair to all and enforce reports against said individuals?
I do not even know what TTV stands for?
Total Thickness Variation?
How is that offensive?
What part of “no” do people not understand? The owners of this property clearly told you no to these toxic behaviors. These owners are giving you clear and consistent messaging regarding unacceptable behavior. If you don’t like it, go away. Otherwise, stop the negative behaviors and enjoy the game like the rest of us are trying to. There is zero need for profanity, racism, or any of the other myriad negative behaviors…to be able to play this game. I’m happy Amazon is applying strict moderation. This has nothing to do with anybody being sensitive or fragile. If you owned a nice piece of property, would you like it if people just came up and dumped garbage all over it? Amazon has the right and responsibility to keep this property clean…as we actually pay to make use of this property. Spew the garbage on your own property.
Having TTV in one’s name or naming their company after their twitch channel isn’t advertising twitch. It’s advertising their game related content creation business that’s HOSTED by twitch. Read that again. THEIR business. Not TWITCH’s business; THEIRS. MY twitch channel is MY business. Every bit of content on it is copyrighted to ME, not twitch (though I have to wait 24 hours per my agreement with twitch to post content originally hosted on twitch to another platform). This game is SUPPOSED to have twitch integration. You’re supposed to be able to sign into your twitch account IN GAME and enable the ability to recruit your following into your company directly. Why WOULDN’T streamers name their companies after themselves/their channels? Why do you have a problem with it?
Let me ask you this: Have you EVER put a message in global chat on ANY game stating that you were selling an item? If so you’ve advertised much more aggressively and visibly than a twitch streamer who’s actually trying to make a living. They’re PASSIVELY drawing a following WITHOUT getting in your face and spamming chat in game to get viewers. And that’s IF anybody wants to actually tab out of the game to go find them on twitch. More likely it’s so that they’re easily visible to fans that come to find them in game rather than the other way around.
Take a deep breath and count to 10 man. These guys, myself included, are trying to make a living by ENTERTAINING people.
So we agree that they are advertising a real world business
Against TOS.
No different from gold sellers advertising in game or you trying to advertise the sweet new mixtape you are selling on ebay.
Although I am glad you agree with me I’m confused why you needed so many words to say so little?
Maybe I should start advertising security consulting in game.
Maybe my teammate should start selling cars in game, I’m sure everyone would LOVE to see that.
Just a side note, if you are relying on that in your name to make a living nobody is watching your stream lol.
Okay… look… AMAZON GAMING owns this game. AMAZON owns twitch. New World was BUILT with twitch integration so that NEW WORLD will display an icon and your twitch channel information when you’re streaming. THE GAME ITSELF WAS CODED TO ADVERTISE TWITCH CHANNELS. This is one argument you’re not going to win. With anyone. Ever.
… EVER
Not gonna get into the semantics of it but good luck getting past 6 viewers, maybe next year lol.
I don’t need your sarcastic derisive commentary and I’m reporting you for it (since that’s the entire foundation of this discussion). And FTR I DON’T have ttv in my name, nor does the streamer that runs my company which isn’t named after her. And I don’t care if I EVER get past 6 viewers. I don’t care if I get past 1. I’m doing it because I enjoy playing video games and talking to people and I don’t mind being on display while I do it. If somebody shows up I’m thrilled to talk to them. If they don’t, I lose nothing. I’m comfortable with it and you should get over yourself. The fact that you can’t win an argument that was trash to begin with doesn’t make it okay for you to be insulting. THAT is a violation of the TOS.
Have a great day.
I don’t understand why Amazon thinks it’s okay to exploit people in a 3rd world country but not say a swear word.
Are they really exploiting them?
Yes
First: devs have commented on the automated ban system in the patch notes from today.
Second: this information is still likely correct. Most of these types of positions are outsourced and lingual/cultural barriers absolutely do create problems in these types of situations. At the end of the day this game IS rated T for Teen and regardless of what 13+ year olds these days consider appropriate language, their PARENTS (the people who can sue for inappropriate content and otherwise raise hell at the drop of a hat) are the ones who LEGALLY determine what’s appropriate. With that in mind, there are STRICT guidelines set forth by the ESRB for what constitutes each rating category. If you say or do something IN GAME that exceeds the given rating amazon is legally OBLIGATED to do something about it or they will have to change the rating of the game. This is how a handful of M for Mature games got pushed to Adults Only and banned in a number of countries (including the USA) over the last decade.
Are you sure? How much is amazon paying them? Is it a living wage where they live? Where are your facts?
Where did they address it in the patch notes?
Sheep will be sheep.
Go troll somewhere else, you were just arguing with yourself like 6 posts ago.
I think you need to re-read that conversation before you make assumptions, friend.
And it’s bugged*
A friend of mine was co-streaming with me a few days ago for an overnight stream so we have literally 18 hours of video proof that he didn’t cheat or exploit anything but the system removed him from the server and told him it was for a cheat.
You have said so many ridiculous things on these forums that people can’t be expected to read anymore of what you say.
