Getting Unable to connect error. and game wont close

Happens when i cant connect to steam servers (known issue for a week now, steam side)

After hitting Yes, Nothing happens. Game doesnt close, have to CTR+ALT+DEL to force close program

I can’t connect, either! This has been going on since at least maintenance last night. I was getting a message saying “today is the last day of the medley fair” and have been a bit stressed trying to get on until someone confirmed for me that is not the case.

I added port forwarding for the first time in my life, today. Per the support article. I have no idea what else to do but sit and wait.

nm im good it was because I had turned on ipv6 for something unrelated. turned it off and boom

I’m sorry you’re having this issue to connect to the servers, I understand that this must be frustrating but let me try to help you on this one, please try the following:

1. Run a Steam Integrity check. Steam Integrity Check.
2. Completely uninstall and reinstall game if not resolved after an Integrity Check.

Please make sure to add the DxDiag and Gamelogs through a sharing link from a Cloud Storage like Google Drive to the support report, you can pull it following this steps:

DxDiag report:

• Go to Windows Start search bar and type dxdiag.
• Click on dxdiag.exe.
• When green progress bar goes away, select Save All Information and save the file to their desktop.

GameLogs:

• Game logs can be found on: \Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\AGS\New World\CrashDB\reports\

i figured it out, it was a issue steam side, i reinstalled steam and it works…

the issue for this ticket is that theres a bug in the code. that i cannot close the game when i get a connection error… nothing happens when closing the game to do those things… simple bug, i resolved the connection issue
