I like this idea, would be great to have some instanced locations to gather in. Anything for a small company to be relevant in the game would be nice.

To be honest, I have not found any real benefit to being in ANY company - large or small. I have been in 3 companies, ranging from 15’ish to max. And none did anything of interest, and they all fell apart within days.
This is a fantastic idea.
i would love to see small companies getting more purpose. My friend and I created a small company and we are sure that we will never rise to the state of owning a territori and frankly I think i don’t have the time to manage that properly. So we are dedicated to destroy the corruption.
From that point of view I think that small companies would make huge sense and be some midway between Solo and Territory defender.
→ Mercenaries for the factions or the territorie to destroy the corruption and weeken the invasion. With this i would get the feeling to be able to support our territory and our faction.
From the scaling it should be like:
Solo → Housing with your benefits, dayli missions and stuff you can do for you or some friends… maybe a bit of PVP
Company → Having a “Company Headquarters” some Company benefits if going in Combat with your Company Brothers and Sisters. And some Storage so that the crafter of the company could profit from the cooperation of gathering stuff… they then can concentrate more on delivering items for the company
Teritorry → Augmented features of a Company headquarters with additional more responsability but also more benefits in War’s etc.

I would like to get these kind of features:
- company house + storage
- company NPC/merchant added in the house
- you could hire a NPC who could sell items on your behalf, but from others to buy from him/her, you would need to do a marketing in order to find him etc. Its kinda like black market merchant. And you would need to pay salary similar way as house tax.
This NPC functionality was in Ultima Online back in the day.

This Is a great idea, my Friends and I would Love being able to go into invasions as a group! We have tank/heals and dps and we work efficiently together

I think that we need some sort of alliance feature for companies, that could make smaller companies be able to hold a territory as a larger group. The income from taxes etc could be evenly distributed to the participating companies based on size or whatever. Back in the days in DAOC that was a very successful concept and a lot can be learned from it.
Either separate alliances or make all companies in Marauders etc share the responsibility more for all territories and distribute the income based on size and number of wars that the company participate in etc. I think it is possible to figure out a good algorithm that gives income based on the commitment that the guild puts in to defending, conquering and maintaining territories.
And I agree with the rest of you that we also need company housing etc to make it even more attractive to form smaller companies as well.
I had forgotten that portion of DAOC… I feel this would be a great improvement to the game.

We already spend some time in NW. We like all the ideas and if linked to areas and the taxing system this should be no problem at all.
Company Storage:
We would like to have company storage to offer for example incense to our members. It should be possible to limit the amount taken per role and player. Maybe add some coins too. There might be more detailed ways to pass over items like weapons with an approval of let’s say the “master weaponsmith” (maybe a dedicated role) but this is future talk. Why is something like that important? Now only a few people are passing over important stuff like incense for wars to others. These people are always the same and they must spend so much extra time to do this repeatedly. At the end, they will lose interest doing it. Offering a way to be able to let’s say equip other players would be amazing. For internal players a company storage located in the company hall/headquarter would be perfect. For “externals” a “company store” located in the fort or the war camp would be more than nice. A company must fill up these stores before events happen.
Company Housing (hall/headquarter):
A place for everybody to meet. Being able to highlight the master crafters of a company. Access to the company storage. A Place to create company missions and so on. In addition, it would be important to enable all players to sign up for events like wars/invasions at this central place. Currently we must ask repeatedly and motivate everybody to travel to cities and sign up for let’s say a war… this is very annoying… and for players without all houses sometimes just not possible. They don’t have enough azoth to travel and are maybe not choses to a war/invasion. Result… they don’t sign up or the sign up late. Maybe this should only be possible for events initiated by the company so that the sign-up boards still have a reason. In relation to this the headquarter should act as travel point. This would simplify the sign-up process for wars/invasions (events) for all players. Also, company missions should be available only in this place. A bit of customization and upgrading would also be nice
- maybe the company headquarter, and the travel point should be instanced only and not grant access to the city the headquarter is located or only for azoth.
Company missions:
It’s hard to organize mats or collect everything that’s required to craft a weapon, armour, rings and so on. It’s a lot of work for the player “wanting” s.th. and for the player who is finally crafting the items. We have several players at 200 but they always must travel again and again to build things. Finally, they don’t promote their skills anymore and players struggle getting (grinding or buying) the required mats. A solution and nice way to organise this (not in excel or so) would be 2-way company mission-system for crafting and gathering. First create an order for the weapon smith - attach/deliver all required mats > second step is to create and place the created item for this order. Such a system can probably be combined with a company armoury and other stations. Yes, we read all the notes and comments on reddit and that a possible result of company stations in the company headquarter might “empty” the cities but if these stations are only usable for such company missions it might not be a problem. Items can be bound on equip for these quest and taxes go to the city. It’s also a more reliable way to place expensive mats in the mission > building the item by a crater and this item directly gets back to the mission (not in the company or player storage at all). In addition, building, upgrading these stations should cost s.th. too lik the upkeep > again company missions for everybody for example.
Another way, especially for smaller companies might be group missions and upon completion the coins directly go to the company bank.

I am definitely in support of this thread.
Almost everything suggested would be a welcomed addition to the game.
As someone trying to build up a company from nothing. I can for sure say that the amount of content for smaller companies is essentially non existent. Getting creative with your company is all you can really do at the moment. For example I am trying to answer any calls Marauders might have if they are being harassed by syndicate or covenant in addition to doing the pvp missions - sort of playing at being a mercenary for the marauders.
Some ACTUAL content for smaller companies would just be great.

I also wouldn’t mind an in-game tool for company recruitment (something similar to mobile games like Clash of Clans / Boom Beach).
