Give us SOLO content

At level 60 besides crafting there isn’t much to do solo. I can’t even complete faction missions solo in level 60 zones because everything will 1-2 shot you. If there was more solo content that felt rewarding and allowed you to progress I would definitely return to New World.

I don’t always want to find or organize a group of randoms (yes I have no friends that play this game anymore) and try to something as simple as farm faction rep…

OPR is group content
Expeditions are time gated and require group
Corrupted Portals - unless you are doing the level 25 ones you need a group
Chest Runs / Elite Runs requires a group

The mobs even lvl 59 in decent gear can be challenging unless you are in the meta stun build. I get that is an MMO but zerging is really crappy game design and that is what this game has become. Everyone lets zerg this chest run or that chest run meh. Boring! Game is dying because it is repetitious and boring and rewards are only for those with the best of the best trophies.

I do a lot of solo play. There are some balance issues still with the game. A good number of the balance issues that are worse now came with AGS thinking HP alone is a difficulty switch. It’s not!

There are still some mobs in most zone where the HP values are still out of whack with the rest of the game. Case in point when you are in SM killing elite mobs and they have less health than some level 45 mobs elsewhere. Hint… This is not eluding that SM elites need more HP, but rather that some tuning needs to be done in other parts of the game.

I should make an entire list of mobs with hp totals that do not make sense, like missionaries, horrors, a few key named mobs.

Anyway if you ended up on Orofena, and need a hand just ask. I still tend to do most things solo that others take 5 or more to do. I also prefer killing things to just skating through. and opening chests.

I do wish they could address stagger locks in such a way that doing a few mobs at once, did not sometimes become range kite only, but I am not sure they have plans to address some of the PVE melee build issues. Tanks just should not be getting stun locked so easily, or pushed around the map so easily.

I just wish I could find people that want to actually play content, instead of trying to avoid it while opening chests. It’s part of the reason I feel people claiming there is not enough content have no grounds to stand on, because most of them have not actually done that content.

Scaling for group size could help, but sadly with the actual balance being all over the place, I am not exactly confident they could do that well. Then there is a core rule I have preached forever, “never balance for the one percent, it’s a fools errand.”
