I’m looking through the forum trying to find a reason to come back to the game, because for a while it was pretty cool. But nope. All I see is more AGS setting offenses and not telling anyone, even more useless things that waste time, no improvement to battles, literally nothing but MORE negative stuff to deal with.
AGS really needs to look into hiring some new top seats, because the ones approving thislngs are clueless, and have clearly never played a game in their life. Or they did and sucked at it, got made fun of, and decided to take out that anger on the rest of the gaming community. I’m leaning to towards the former.
It truly is disappointing because New World had so very much potential. It easily could have lasted for a decade if they had people in charge who knew what they were doing. This has literally been a wasted project that amounted to nothing more than a cash grab and jeopardized the trust and integrity of this new Developer.
You really expect people to put faith in any future projects when this one repeatedly fails to have basic functions addressed?
Its been made clear they don’t want people enjoying the game, which means the population will continue its slow decline. It’s really sad to see.
As the title says, I’m glad I quit playing like 4 months ago. Disappointing I invested over 1000 hours and so much money for skins etc. into the game, believing they’ll fix some things, only to eventually find no reason to continue. When I bought it I even gifted a friend a copy because I figured there’s no way it could turn out badly. My friend quit playing after just a few hundred hours. He’s always good at predicting a game’s future. I shoulda listened to him lol.
I very highly doubt I’ll buy another AGS game within the first year of its release. I want to know its worth playing and stays that way before they get another penny from me.
I’m amazed how they can’t even send out the correct patch notes.
Then they put a nice video on YouTube where they ask you to actively report stuff but they just don’t read it.
I would not look into the feedback forum to see how the game is going or if it improved. Here is the place for people who have something to complain about, you won’t find something about the good things in NW in here.
Why not just try it out again? It’s free once you purchased it.

Yeah, while all games are a waste of time, New World was just a sad experience.
It’s funny that people argue over ‘is New World dead’. It’s living off on house cash. There is no new revenue being generated here. The game has been dead for months, and kept alive by Amazon’s pride & cash. They really don’t want to admit yet another AGS failure.
Maybe some more execs soon leave to spend time with family? I remember taking the family dog to go spend its last days on a ‘farm’. I think it’s sort of the same.
Sadly, with many hours played in this game, I have to agree with the statements listed above.
There are bugs after bugs.
New Update → More bugs, old bugs appear again, a lot of new bugs are implemented.
Playing arena once → you can’t open any leaderboards anymore, you can’t open your company and see how many people are online.
Weapons not functioning correctly (see rapier) - balancing needs way too long (seems there is testing, but not on a professional playerbase - the testing seems to happen from casual players)
Expertise needs to be removed (this was just something for the players to grind more hours until the next update releases).
I played so many hours, I really enjoyed the game, and additionally I hoped for improvement, but I am so disappointed, that all that happens is small updates → biiiig amount of bugs. And the impact of the bugs is not small, they are bad, really really bad.
I will maybe open the game again in half a year, or maybe a whole year, if there is anyone playing the game then. For now, I will also uninstall it, I am sorry, but at the moment I have more anger playing the game than being able to enjoy the game
If you play that dead game old trash ESO/GW2/WoW, why are you here then? It is obvious that you are TRYING to advertise and get people to play YOUR dead game by making it sound like NW is dead and shitting on it here on the NW forums… LMAO morons, everyone knows this and you’re only fooling yoruselves.
NW now feels smooth, super fun and always a breath of fresh air regardless of its faults and no other game feels that way. NW just needs new variety and it will kick every other old trash MMO’s ass easily since none of the other games have even 10% of NW’s potential.
to be honest, if I didn’t know that most modern MMO head devs have no clue on how to make a MMO work, I wouldn’t believe you, but the fact a youtuber was actually involved in the beta before all of this (back when it was just changed to this MMO we’ve seen now), and gave them very entry-level tips, they were impressed by his knowledge. Just mind boggling.
