-mobility is ok, but not as good as I’d expect given I’ll die in 1-2 seconds. Heavy can run at the same speed? They just can’t roll.
-hit recog isn’t great and lag doesn’t help.
So is there any point to maxing dex if I don’t get reasonable damage? The answer is no.
So to my actual question, is there anything to do in this game at level 60, which isn’t that tedious(grinding for cash to upsklll craft or gear)… I have no money, PVP is bad for my build.
Dex builds feel a lot better in PvP with medium armor in my experience. Don’t get 2 tapped by everyone and way more iframes with the 30 stam dodge. Damage loss from light to medium isn’t huge either. Disregard if you’re an aimbot bow god tho.
And to your second question, aside from PvP, yeah basically everything is a grind.
They just made changes to the mobs that drop HWMS gear and guess what? They are much more difficult to kill!
You’ll be excited to know that you’ll spend days after days killing the same mobs over and over to get a hidden number high enough so that you can loot gear thats even half decent!
And each slot is different!
If you think that is tedious you can havest hundreds of thousands of Matt’s to raise your crafting skill super slow and then look to craft something decent that way.
And if you think that is tedious you can do outpost rush over and over to get some gold if your server isn’t dead.
And if that is tedious, just buy gold from China and hit the trade post and call it a day and wait for them to fix their game and figure out why players aren’t having fun with any of their systems.
I’m curious how you’re playing it? I was a str spec, sword shield and great axe and heavy armor till yesterday. Finally switched to dex and I love it. Soloed the first few parts of some of the legendary weapon quests including elites in Shattered Mountain like Tzu Wing the Immovable or whatever his name is.
I’m running medium armor, 366 dex and about 54 con atm. My GS is still low, I’m at 534 I believe, my bow is only 530 or so and I also use a spear that’s about 540 gs. My spear is 20 skill but I’m only lvl 12 on my bow, investing in everything on the right side first for big opening damage and splinter shot. With just a brilliant onyx in my bow I’m consistently headshotting mobs in Shattered Mountains for 6.5k+ on my opener. Most are dead before they ever reach me. For the tougher mobs, some effective dodging and blocking with the spear can keep you alive in melee and the spear itself does some serious damage, with some debuffs and shred running, can knock down a mob and get off a heavy attack critting for 5k.
I’m not gonna claim it’s stronger for soloing content than running a heavy armor lifestaff build but there’s no lack of dps in the build and I’m finding it totally capable for handling high level content.
P.S., I also make sure to always have honing stones running and weapon coatings as well if possible to maximize damage.
