It’s like trying to find a meaninful conversation while 100 ADDS are playing in front of your eyes.
This needs a fix. It’s downgrading the gameplay experience when there are players who spam the same message like bots.
Disable linking items in global chat and mute players for 30min for using key words in global chat like “wts” “selling”

Instead of talking about Muting players, maybe we can come up with a solution like, Trade Chat. and then move on. Because at the moment, each player who has every played an MMO is used to a trade chat. If they do not have one, They will reach out via Global Chat.
Just saw someone today in global chat trying to sell linen with the following message:
“WTS 918 Linen each is 0.68 with no tax”
Point is, everyone will move their trading in global chat and less trading will be done in the trading post. This will affect how company make coin to upkeep settlements.
The trading in the global chat needs to adressed.
They launched with no trade channel to force people to use the trade post, and they made sure to make trading taxes be a primary component of their gold sink design. People absolutely love paying 400g to list an item that probably wont sell. AGS has industry leading foresight powers.
People who think a trade chat will declutter global fail to realize people will just use both.
You either moderate the chat, or you get nothing.
