I saved so much mats and farmed for so many Golden scarabs. Out of 25 crafts for a f.s only got one Lego. It was a big time dooo doo. This one broke me. I want to say so many bad this about this game right now, but……. Ahhh hmmmmm just going to leave it at that.
Yep. Can’t believe they aren’t guaranteed 600. I rolled 12 Golden Scarabs and got only 1 legendary (not even good). Wasted like 200k because I was using some expensive ass perks. Crafting is a scam.
I rolled like 13 muskets, and I got 4 legendries. This was over the first few days of the Brimestone sands.
I rolled maybe 5 pieces of jewelry and got 1 legendary.
I rolled 4 rapiers and got 1 legendary.
I rolled 4 hatchets and got 1 legendary.
I rolled like 12 pieces of armor and 0 legendries. This is most recently.
I was getting about 2 golden scarabs per day during the first week or so of Brimestone sands. However, recently, I’ve been getting like 0 or 1 scarab.
Additionally, I just opened like 30 gypsum casts and got 0 legendries.

Big reason as to why I believe FSS will flop.
Most players still won’t be able to compete with gold buyers and territory owners.

I’ve used 2 golden scarabs so far, although I’ve given them to others to craft with as I lack the required trade skills.
One was for a GS that didn’t make it to legendary and more recently just yesterday I had someone make me a medium cap which did go legendary. I didn’t really care what the 3rd perk was though, it is a nice bonus.
I think its still pretty nice to at least force 2 desired perks on a piece of gear. I wouldn’t complain if getting legendary was a bit more common place though.
And then you do get a legi BIS and they change perks the next patch and you need a new BiS.

i have felt the wrath of this im surprised for what all has to go into crafting let alone a golden scarab craft that it doesn’t atleast become like a 598-600 craft and in all honestly i really think the crafting system needs to reward the heavy crafters who have the gear/town buff/ food/ and let alone the trophies that this system should just UNCAP the high end don’t limit me from 595-600 when im quite possibly able to craft 595-620 if they’d just uncap the upper end it would turn legendaries from a 20% up to about an 80% but then im sure that would make people feel the market would be flooded with legendaries even more

I mean even territory owners will have trouble getting income (more so for the side territories). Because territory income is tied directly to settlement upgrade levels.
Townboard EXP nerf makes upgrading a town a major pain point, due to fewer players running them. Non-trading hub towns don’t get upgraded and don’t get the cash flow the server generates.
Owning a town can be a gameplay death trap on smaller servers where you are responsible for the upgrades and there’s not enough help.
On top of invasions getting thrown more frequently than legacy servers, causing more townboards, less income and more head aches for the war loggers.
On top of all this , they secretly threw in an update to the game disabling legendary shield crafting! What sorcery scams they are on about is truly frustrating! Also to continue on about the legendary shield crafting, they disabled it and didn’t even include it in the PTR notes until a week later. (As soon as brimstone update launched, they threw in this sneaky disabling of crafting).
They are promoting an unfair and unequal game by silly updates like this. WE all deserve reimbursement via them implementing a charm to rings that increase crafted item quality by +5 (meaning we can craft legendaries with everything in order).
Besides, getting a BiS legendary is still very frustrating and expensive. Plus not many people are crafting because they are such impossible odds.
The crafting in this game is… well simply put, dog shit.
