I get way more without the luck set on average. Luck is BS, i get its base on rng but luck should feel like luck

At the end of the day, it is absolutely NOT worth it to wear luck when scarab farming.
The time it takes you to equip all the gear and redo your stats is already not worth the amount of extra find luck gives you. (almost none).
Luck is WORTHLESS in New World until the devs wake up.
Or to put it another way:
If you have all 625 max luck gear with pearls in everything and max trophies, you will get 1 extra scarab for about 120 scarabs found.
So the guy who has 0 luck will have 120 scarabs over a 2-3 month period of farming everyday. Whereas the guy wearing full luck will have 121 scarabs over a 2-3 month farming period.
NOT WORTH IT. WAKE UP DEVS.

Kinda a weird take when you can wear full luck gear and just pop 1 incense to do all of the acid chest farming. Why not wear luck gear? Even if its 1% better chance thats 1% more scarabs.

The amount of time it takes you to equip and organize your luck gear EVERY DAY over a 3 month period is not worth 1 extra scarab. Not even close.
The time saved NOT fucking around with luck gear could earn me enough gold doing something else to buy 10 scarabs.
Not to mention the amount of gold required to have all tier 3 trophies and all 625 luck gear (which i have but still dont use because its worthless)

It was said some time ago how much percentage of scarab drop you get acid pools and how much you get with maxed luck gear. Difference is very small but even if it increases this chance by 0.4%+ then in my opinion its still worth to use luck gear. Remember that you won’t be able to verify that easly. It will be still pure luck based. Sometimes you will get 0, sometimes you will get 5. Gear luck set slightly/barely increases this chance.
I just got 8 scarabs today. So I do not understand why it did not drop for you. In Barri, the prices of scarabs are cheap like 2.6k each because too many golden scarabs,

Luck does help, it’s just a very small amount. The difference between going ZERO luck and almost 50% luck is 3-4 more scarabs per 100 chests.

Just looking at this thread made me sick at my own horrible RNG. I’ve never gotten a single golden scarab since brimstone’s launch. I mostly just run the solo grave offerings route starting at the wall then follow up with the acid pools doing that a few times a week, puts me at roughly 300 grave offerings a week looted for the past 10 weeks or 3000ish total without once looting a golden scarab. Someone who enjoys math want to give me the probability of that occurring and when I can expect to finally loot one?

Does not matter I have luck only in bags and normal luck trophies in houses + pvp flag because I always look for some fights durning this. In average 2 scarabs/day and I do only Acid chests.
Do you have a link to it perhaps? I cannot find it in the website.
EDIT: found it. However, PvP Flagged shouldn’t add any Luck since it’s only for gatherables (Logging, Mining, Harvesting and Skinning) since at least 10 patches ago. Or am i missing something?
It should also add global luck, or am I missing something?

It’s just random and hardly noticeable . I wouldn’t spend money on luck trophies or gear. (Other than bags). If you get luck drops cool use them. l
I use the PvP flag on to compensate for not being able to use food luck (Turkey dinner/defiled feet) in the website’s calculations.
But it was just to show what almost +50% luck bonus impacts to the odds.

not sure how long it takes YOU to change gear, but armor/weapons/jewelry take me about 10 seconds. Plus the Christmas gear can match your current stats so there’s no real need to respec either.

I almost always get one a day minimum just doing acid pools, sometimes I get none but thats quite rare. Is your account actually broken?!
Maybe my account is broken I’ve really never looted a single golden scarab. I’ve played somewhat consistently since launch, so I have a legacy character on El D and I have a 60 on Isabella fully played through brimstone on both of them.
I had more scarab on the week i didn’t wear luck. I felt even surprise about it. Got between 2 to 5 per days.
