I always remember understanding that the goldfish could only drop from Elite Ancient Chests in Ebonscale, or Supply Stockpiles in Dynasty. THen i was looking at nwdb the other day and i noticed it was still region locked to Ebonscale, but also stated Elite Supply chests as a source.
Today I was on NW.guide and notice it ONLY said Elite Ancient in Ebonscale and also didnt include Dynasty.
Can anyone confirm pulling a goldfish from an elite supply or dynasty chest? Can somone smarter than I tell me why these two sites have conflicting info and if one is more reliable than the other.
There are three “Elite Ancient Chest” in the Imperial World Tour run. All three are by Borvarn
I’ve spoken to 3 people who have obtained the goldfish. 2 got it during an imp run and one claims to have gotten it from a dynasty run. I’m not very confident in the claim they got it from dynasty. Maybe they got it from an earlier build, but I do not think it’s currently possible to get goldfish from dynasty.
NWDB has more chest because it labels that the chest can drop it if zoned in Ebonscale. Kind of like how Articulon the Unshackled has different loot depending on where you kill them.
Maybe these extra chests technically COULD drop a goldfish but they don’t exist in Ebonscale, these chests exist in other zones so they have the goldfish locked out of their elite furniture pool
NWDB says you can get it from elite supply chests, which do exist in ebonscale… ive also wondered if you can get a roadside suprise glyph chest in ebon like you do in brim… which would make the glyph chests viable (but im also doubtful of this). anyways, appreciate everyones feedback. the more information, the better.
NWDB also used to state that the golden steel schematic dropped in Mourningdale… so i question accuracy lol
and if you look at probability drops on the other site it will tell you that pirate jewel box is more rare than the gold fis. so theres that as well. lol
