Haven’t seen the forums this pissed off that wasn’t over musket or an exploit in idk how long. This light armor equip load announcement is just a death sentence for light users. Light players already get deleted when caught out. You can literally die in less than 1 second while in light, perhaps even medium. Now with making light users take more crit damage this indirectly buffs every single weapon used on light users, from any armor type.Detonates will now crit even higher, they already can crit between 6-10k. Light players get 20 percent base damage increase. BASE. That’s literally nothing and after Armor mitigation light players hit medium and heavy significantly less than mediums or light hit heavies. The power from light armor comes from its dodge and you guys already nerfed it into the ground and now aim to nerf light again.
Like how clueless are you guys to not understand that the reason why light players can seemingly run away for ever is because of certain dex weapons that have perma haste with 0 cooldown and loads of passives that give stam regen and extra dodges. The light roll specifically is not an issue, musket and bow have perma haste, hatchet has 20 percent haste and defy death, rapier is rapier, all these dex scaling weapons along with stam recovery and shirking energy and all the other passives make people able to run away forever. The actual roll isn’t the problem. And now you want to make them take even more damage than before, which will make healers suffer, mages suffer, literally everyone, the. Time to kill will be even faster when it’s already too fast. Just so out of touch.
No you can’t. I am okay with nerfs as long as there is a valid reason and argument. This change is just plain dumb and no real justification of than the devs who play heavy saying, we want to be able to prevent light users from running away from us and be able to delete them even faster in our combos.
Devs can’t even adjust PvE elite mob values down from giant bullet sponges that require clumping 10 mobs and cleaving 10 of them at a time for a reasonable clear time.
I don’t know? Make ranged excel at taking out ranged mobs that would one shot the healer or something.
In Forged in Aeternum, the trio shows a great naivety. They are probably nice people, but in this tough business you need a different approach and most importantly a viable plan.
I’m sure none of them has thousands of PvP game hours.
I am fine with the changes as long as they rollback the melee dodge slow and shirking energy nerf for non dex builds. Its like the only builds that exist are light dex and heavy str. The game just plays like ass now.
I don’t know man seems like they’re really lost or reading some old posts, that’s the only thing i can think of…
First they nerfed light so people have a harder time to escape which is somewhat fine, since you could work your way to still kill some folks melee
Now they will nerf damage absortion as well, which doesn’t make any sense since you don’t have the same mobility you had before and now you’ll not even tank as you did.
Seems like they want to force people out of light armor by nerfing both escape and survivability so then we’ll all be noobs bashing our faces in the keyboard spamming grit skills and hoping for the best.
