Nerfing heavy armour would also nerf tanks who are killable alone (without heals) quite easily so heavy armour is not the issue, it is the combination of heavy armour, life staff, fortify stacking, and lack of counter play (things such as anti heal).
I do think armour and many other things need to be reworked to a point but that is somewhat a long and offtopic post.

the unkilalble tanks i think as long as ther not doing dmg, seem fine, itst he dudes that back pedal and walk into walls never dodge, using heavy, lifes taff and hammer, and are 2 clicking people, its jsut a meme at this point

Healing is broke though. A tank and rapier dps cannot win 2v2 with a healer involved.

I’m all for putting more emphasis on counter play.

Looks like the PTR is giving more healing counter play with VG and Hatchet changes.

Meanwhile, even after the nerfs, Paladins can still tank 5 people indefinitely and win OpR by themselves.

Last time I checked one of the few end game tanking builds in the game was a High Con/Mid focus/low Str Pally tank and now with thats getting killed along with the healing nerf and the god awful damage that tank build already does its going to break one of the few good tanks in the game along with making SS almost a impossible weapon to Solo with. O and BTW Tanks cant slot damage gems. Sorry this game isnt PVP only in PVP GS progression stops at 535 and thats pure PVE gear.

They cant kill a 200/200 build and the +80% mitigation from OPR buff stacking yes. Not possible in War or in Open World. Go to war and get 2 hammers on you or a Hammer and a GA you are dead very quickly. If people would actually learn how to play and stop left click and ability spam and learn to time CC when players staff swap they could kill healers.

You can and should swap equimentf between PvE and PvP. Also the build you mention IS NOT a PvE Tank build, not a viable one anyway, it’s a PvP unkillable build and it was NOT killed anyway, it still works just as fine when it SHOULDN’T. It should be gutted into oblivion.
Having a healer that is also a tank isn’t balanced.
The Tank is the unkillable taunt machine as long as the Healer heals him.

It’s actually pathetic that the only argument you, and everyone else defending the unbalanced mess that are paladins, have is that nobody else can play properly.
Like it was normal that every PvP healer is a bloody raid boss that requires a coordinated team with the right weapons.
Also ironic that that is actually THE LESS SKILLFUL play style in the game, sitting there blocking spamming heals until people get bored.

Its a 100% Viable PVE tank build. Its has More Mitigation than Any other tank Build in the game as well as being able to Off heal and support. You Cannot Main heal with the build as it doesnt even use single target healing and is more about buff stacking.

if you have never used the Build in PVE late game then you should not comment. The Tanking build and the PVP god mode build are not the same. Also it is not possible to heal yourself with this kind of build through boss hits again its just support healing in Melee and mitigation stacking for yourself and the group.

Incredibly easy if you understand aggro mechanics which obviously you do not. Gem LS with Carnelian heals produce 20 points of threat per 100 points of healing Before the threat increase from the Gem when you swap to sword this thread continues with the sword in your hand from the healing. There is no build in the game that can reach anywhere near the mitigation of this build or the threat level.
