In what way does this new system seem like a good idea? People are already tired and bored af over spamming elite mobs for hours, days, weeks, etc. I have gotten so tired of that shit its not fun at all.
It will instantly reduce my effective stats, perks and damage by a huge margin.

No, they’re just trying to sell you on the system. They can’t actually believe that this is what anyone wants. It’s what they want. More grind and more control over how fast player progress by timegating it even harder.

You realize that it’s a single “expertise” bump every 24 hours, right? Whilst also nerfing boss and chest runs.

Why make gear when you have to farm chests for watermark.
From the description, it’s not a good system. It will ruin the economy and force people to focus on themselves. It also undermines the improvements to the crafting system.
Yeh, making good gear has its own grind already with huge, huge variance on what you get (except the set stuff which isn’t bis anyway).
We have to do this expertise thing to level up all our slots, which will result in plenty enough rng. Any time spent rng on crafting is time not leveling up item slots and so is wasted.
Time spent doing anything but working towards expertise is time wasted. I’m amazed they didn’t realise this when this idea cropped up in brainstorm.
