I never lost Harvesting gear but got the whole set for free yesterday regardless. So I assume everyone did?
Is that an attempt at making all of us become Harvesters and devalue everything prior Harvesters worked for when they bought or farmed their gear?
To maintain balance you should give everyone a full set of Mining, Logging, Skinning and Fishing gear too.
Anything else is a slap to the face for us who were Harvesters before this “donation campaign”.
There was an issue with a SPECIFIC set (with a specific name) being REMOVED from the Game. I had that set. It got lost because they were removed. This happened to a lot of other people. The update said we would get replacements (and the chest with new set pieces) is being sent to players this week. The items in question are now also being dropped and are starting to show up on the Trader.
Note: nothing was said regarding everyone getting this. The mention of this in the Patch Notes was vague regarding the actual deployment.

Dev’s need to stop these shitty fucking bandaid fixes that basically just ruined harvesting profitability for the next month.
You probably had one item from the set someone in a shed or on your character and didn’t notice it being deleted. You get a full set even if you only had one piece.
Wow, People screaming bloody murder when AGS accidentally took away people’s gear.

At one point I’m sure you had a piece of gear in your bag. Might not have known about it at the time…might have been at a low lever during your leveling process. Hell with about 99% I salvage…I don’t remember a lot of it.
If you don’t like the fact AGS gave you a set for free…do us a favor and salvage it.

I always salvage any gear I don’t use so I doubt that. Plus I heard from plenty others that got the full Harvesting set now even though they didn’t own any Harvesting Gear before.
I got the full 600GS set. Can’t wait for it to now be nerfed down to a sub 550 set though! Suppose I’d better go use it quickly so I can harvest all the stuff I need to make some 600Gs stuff that’ll also be actually only sub 550 stuff.
Because making good on mistakes is way more important than just giving us nice updates.

Honestly, the apologists for this stuff are beyond belief. I’d rather they stop trying to “makegood” and just get on with “make game”. Preferably without going out of their way to obliterate all the progress some of us made over the last two months.
