Gota be honest. Content wise this season launch was mediocre at best

I feel like I’m still playing the exact same game since the brimstone update. Got bored instantly. It’s actually pretty depressing cause I like the game and don’t want to get bored so damn fast >.>

If this is the level of content to expect for each season going forward things will never change for this game

Definitely the same, I’m very happy about new expedition but what a pain to be locked when all season is built around this expedition and it’s mutated only week 1 and need to wait a month before next mutation. And pass is almost a scam for old players.

I don’t understand why people are satisfied with how seasons work at all. The pass is just a chore list of things you didn’t even want to do before. It’s not engaging, exciting, and it hardly feels good to complete. Some tasks are a joke and others are a pain, so you end up just doing the same easy activities over and over again.

To think that this is the main content we’ll be getting every few months is a joke, and to top it all off it’s monetized…

A lot of the work for season one was getting the structure setup. The Devs will take feedback on this first season and roll some of it into the following seasons. My suggestion is to offer up some things you would like to see in upcoming seasons. If you are bored take a break. I did that and it helped me to came back with a fresh outlook.

The only mediocre thing this season is the 10 healers for 1 dps in OPR, it’s just unplayable, the winner is the team with the most healers that’s all and it’s really suck, I really liked OPR before that !
Except that, the season pass, the new expedition, the new “human” type, the new quest, the new elite zone, the new gear set system, the new heartrune, the two seasonal events and all the new loot in the game is really cool and also for players who always want more, you have a roadmap to see what’s coming in the next season and if you have already done all the new content in this first few days of the release, take a break I think you need it.

I am actually enjoying it so far. Plenty to do (yes some are chores) but way better than before the patch. I have changed up my builds which does take up time but is keeping me busy.

Well, I figure the next big content boost will be the expansion in the fall. The seasons I don’t really see as content, tho we did get a bit with Season 1.

This community … having ‘hard/demanding’ objectives/challenges to do, then complains to make them easy.
Having easy objectives/challenges to do, then complaining of getting bored.

I also believe the game is way to friendly with newbs, with no offense intended. But if u play 1-2 hours per day or per week, then u should NOT expect to be on the same progress with somebody who play 4-8 hours daily.
We all understand that u can have family, work or other things to keep u busy. But then play the game for ur fun, dont expect to be ‘the best’ or achieve everything within ur very low limited time.

Second part about season pass are activity cards resets should be limited to certain number per day.
I’ve done only 3-4 challenges and reset activity cards over and over and in few days I got lvl 100. Without playing hardcore!
Limiting the numbers of resets of activity cards would motivate/force players to complete last daily card, or at least wait and keep them active in game for few weeks or month(s). Not making lvl 100 within few days in a 3 months season.

Saying “mediocre at best” is a generous statement, if I can say so myself.

Except the expedition, new mob type and 3 (maybe 4) new locations, the season pass added bingo cards with repeatable quests we all did before. That comes after well over six months of no additional content since Brimstone release.

If this is what the seasons are meant to be then this is not worth $20 every three months. My prime example for the semi-decent seasonal content is PoE. Each season differs and may or may not land well with the community, but it adds new mechanics, balance, mobs and locations on a regular basis. Not to mention reasonable pricing for QoL (like stash-tabs and so on) - $10+ for a transfer or $5 for a gear-set slot is laughable when the very same $5 in PoE would give me 2 premium stash-tabs during their regular discount weeks.

Developing content for PoE is much easier than it is for NW and I am well aware of it, although with that much time at hand and the genre that has existed for well over two decades now, I’m baffled why AGS could not look up to others for a bit of inspiration and ideas. After all Blizzard have grown into greedy juggernaut it is today by copying certain mechanics from other titles and giving it their own spin.

With the way season has been implemented, for many of us playing on FS - we cannot even complete chapters. There is simply not enough players for open world PvP action. OPR does not exist. 3v3 only happens when people off of my company are willing to help out.

One OPR arena ever since the release. Same goes for 3v3.

I don’t mind supporting the game financially, but the bare minimum is the content we can get from it so that we can justify its price. As it stands I see no value in it, more so when there are glaring issues with the stability and negligence towards PvP side of things. Even though I’m not doing much of PvP myself, I had a few discussions with people being simply sad that their companies are falling apart because of the lack of content and variety.

MMOs are supposed to be filled with various activities, people and content for years on end, while seeing what AGS is doing to their own creation and player base is straight up moronic. It is not like they have no money or talent to deliver, but what is it that makes them unable to do so?

I don’t know. What I do know is - the second there is some new successful MMO launched is the second NW dies out. And there is a list of those in the pipe-line with some high chances of at least one of these becoming popular.

The season story was terrible, but i think in the next seasons they will focus more on content.
