Well, it’s a PvE centric game. Satisfying the PvP crowd, hinders the PvE crowd. Maybe you should be buying haste pots. Name another stength melee build? If you’re looking for balance, look at GW2.
literally the opposite but ok
gw2 is way more pve than NW is lol
what u just said? pve centric? lol. Name another strength build? whats ur point on that?
Why do PvE carebears think every MMO is PvE centric? I’m glad tuning orbs have to be crafted and people are charging for them. Make this game as hard for carebear PvErs to be loot goblins killing NPCs repeatedly until they can just 2 shot people in PvP.
The majority of endgame loot farming is from elite runs which are in the open world and when FLAGGED you have 10% bonus luck. Why would a PvE focused game have this style of endgame content? Use your brain and get off the copium.
the game literally revolves around holding territory through pvp so yeah idk
You might want to learn to read about the games you play. They made it PvE centric about a year ago. Oh, that’s because PvP Centric MMO Games don’t make any money. All you have to do is read, instead of making yourself look stupid on forums. BTW, yes, GW2 is PvE centric, however the PVP is balanced. Damn, do you even know what reading or reading comprehension is? BTW, if it were PVP Centric, you wouldn’t have an opt out for PvP. Man, are you trolling or really this dumb?
What you do is you get yourself S&S/GA. You craft/buy yourself a nice set of Orichalcum Heavy gear with Resilience, and you take a big dump on these Voidbent users. Trust me. It works.
Thanks for this feedback on weapon/build balance. I am gathering as much feedback on this topic as I can find today to provide the team a fresh report on the topic. Appreciate your help.
Reminder, please keep it civil. Different folks play games in different ways and have different perspectives and that is fine. It is helpful to hear them all.
I would rather see them buffing up other weapons to match the level of GA/Warhammer rather than nerfing it to the ground.
It’s good to see someone from AGS finally actually looking at feedback. It’s been suggested in many threads but there’s really a simple fix for both of these weapons.
For the Great Axe, remove the lunge and reduce the bloodlust speed to 10%.
For the Warhammer add a CC immunity timer, if you get hit by a hammer CC you should be immune from other Hammer CC for 5 seconds just like with the Ice Gauntlet. This will prevent the endless stunlock from hammer CC.
Mugsy been busy today! This is pretty great to see a response to a lot of the axe/hammer feedback!
We are always actively gathering and analyzing feedback. I am just being vocal about my specific mission today. Weapon balance will always be an ongoing effort of tuning and retuning living numbers. But it is clearly a hot topic right now so i want to be extra sure we have some focused feedback reporting on it for the team.
Great Axe lunging is the #1 axe issue. It’s dominant in so many areas, but if I can choose only one thing, it this that has to be addressed versus the hit-bot issues of bow, etc. There’s really no comparison.
With hammer it’s the CC, path of destiny, but realistically this cannot be solved through tweaking the hammer itself. The game desperately needs some form of CC resistance stacks such that CC’s can be pivotal in combat but not deterministically end combat through CC-spamming. Hammer is just the most prone weapon to this unbalanced/unfun/tactic.
Thanks for collecting the thoughts Mugsy.
patrolling the forums for balance tips is likely the WORST possible method you have of getting a good outcome.
95% of the feedback you get is actually trashbin worthy.
The problem i think everyone can agree on is the lunge on autos. Its really just too much mobility on the heaviest weapon in the game. The kit is just far too overloaded to also have that lunge. The issue with hammer is their is no diminishing returns in this game so you can be perma stunned and not able to play the game for a long period of time. Why is the IG gets only a one second root when its supposed to be an ice weapon but a warhammer has almost 6 seconds of cc and is a pure scaling weapon?
2 of the biggest issues are the following:
1 - there is no light cc (stagger which you removed due to hatchet m1 spam) so then you need weapons like hammer who get 3 heavy cc skills, and turn all fights into hammer cc spam.
Not having light cc also makes mellee unable to stick on a target unless you give ludicrious aim assist. 10m great axe lunges would never be possible even if the game design was made by a 5 year old child.
2 - collision and shitty hitboxes is the 2nd issue., not to mention some skills being super inconsistent, eg. ( you cant roll outside of a grav well, but you can just spam light attack and the lunge animation gets you out of it…)
Imagine you remove all aim assist tracking on all mellee weapons. Thats how bad system is atm, which requires ludicrious aim assist to be playable. Try using rapier offensively on a enemy actively moving and dodging
Guy this was supposed to be a pvp centered game lol they only added in the pve shit the last year.
Sound like a PR copy paste to me. You’ve had countless of great, informative threads giving amazing suggestion for the bow alone, Even more so for other weapons but in the case of the bow all you’ve done since closed beta it take away, nerf and (((((bug fix))))) like the ability to use a skill right after a light attack, you know like all other weapon still can do but is a bug for the bow, apparently. None of the suggestions were taken into consideration since closed beta.
Can you leak what buff greataxe is getting though?
yo, can you ask the team what % of the lv60 community runs heavy armor vs medium/light?
iv always been curious as anecdotally i only see heavy on both tanks dps and healers.
