Too busy nerfing healers. 
Yeah, let’s nerf another weapon, soon we will all be swinging with wet noodles and there will be complaints that someone’s noodles were wetter…nerf the wetness!
I would wait for more important aspects of the game to be fix before moving into balance territory but yes, Greataxe is overpowered AF.
As someone else said it’s just too good at everything, how someone thought it was a good idea to give unrelenting chase speed, ranged hard CC and the fastest and longest gap-closer in the game to the weapon that inherently has already the highest damage, the best attack animation and the widest attack AoE is beyond me.
it is hard to make restrictions in a game, like the best scenario when we have maximum freedom to chose our playstyle, gear combination.
But one thing is sure:
- I would not call GA overpowered and unbalanced (I have zero GS skill it is not my role, so it is an unbiased opinion)
- I would not call life staff overpowered (I lvl’ed up with life staff from 15 to 50 - to buff my life staff skills - it was a torture, it has terrible dps, it burns durability like nothing else and amber gem is nerfed on top of the mentioned above, so yea, I would say that some area AOE healing skills would need attention, but beside that life staff would need a buff rather than nerf)
- I would not call heavy armorer overpowered (beside the fact, that it has some bugs that offers defence exploits, and next to heavy medium and light seems a bad decision)
But what is 100% overpowered and would need attention is:
- heavy armour + great axe + life staff

the GA dmg is fine but bloodlust is pretty cringe. If GA got a bloodlust nerf from 30% to 15% I think a lot of people would be happy.
Weapons need to lean more heavily into niches in my opinion. Great Axe for example is kind of the king of sticking to targets. It’s got the best dash in the game, gravity well and two different pull skills. Add in bloodlust and you can see it’s pretty clear no other weapon has such a focus on staying on targets. Then you factor in the built in sustain and you see Amazon had this vision of Great Axe being hard to peel and hard to kill. Ok, I can get behind that. But not when their damage is also extremely competitive. A weapon like Great Axe should not have even close to similar TTK as something like Rapier.
I would not even take a single word of Your opinion serious, and this is why:
The part You mentioned life staff + dps in one sentence shows me that You are troll, some way retarded or just stupid.
Life staff and all healing abbilities, in any game, are not DESIGNED to make damage, to out put any high dps, so please all You no-hands stop complaining about dps on life staff cause it is really annoying.,

And yea, I mentioned life staff and dps in the same sentence, why what do you think, how someone could lvl up his life staff skills? You have to land 70% of the dmg (minimum) with the weapon that you want to lvl up.

I have level up almost all my weapons, and many many times I was just hitting first strike with one weapon, and finish mobs with other weapon and xp go for both.
I dont know where You get that 70% out from, but it is not working that way. At least not for me, but I doubt that I am anyone special with special weapon lvling conditions in this game 
So yea, bringing in the same sentence complain about life staff and dps is highly not recommended:) Life staff is suppose to heal only, and I would reduce any dmg it can make by even 90%.
For anyone who would cry about it: first check definition of real support healing person in mmo games, then bring your arguments about any healer doing any dps in any game.

I have no clue about definitions like that. Did not knew that they are even exists. Like I also do not try to interpretade “mages” , “celestials” , “magical essences” , or “magical beasts” in such games.
But all I know that I have clear subjective definition due to time / lvl’up a weapon comparing it with other existing skill’up timeframes in the same game.
And due to your weapon skill up trick: Try to land 2-3 shoots to a mob (20% hp) by life staff and than finish the rest 80% with another weapon and you will see that only your second weapon will receive skill points the life staff will gather zero. That is true, that if you path that 30% hp burn down range, you will receive a tiny bit of skill point amount for your life staff and the rest goes to the second wep. Long story short, if you want to lvl up a life staff to max you need to kill a lot of mobs by using most of it’s damage and it is SLOW
I tested this myself and on a mob that grants 60 wp xp, if it hit it once with my LS to pull it to me and do the rest of the fight with whatever weapon i’m trying to level or even my S&S whhich is already max level, i get 30 LS exp.

- The current meta of the game is to have your 520 faction gear, all heavy, with onyx gems and sadly, if your not subscribed to that, your really just gimping yourself.
It also doesn’t help the poor state casters are in right now. So I would suggest really looking at the myrid of issues in the game, rather than thinking just one weapon is OP.
hmm… I will test it, but to be honest I already did since not life staff was in my main focus, just I wanted to handle the grind with it till the hype persists
Since as I mentioned it, it is slow.
And yea, any time I landed the majority of the damage with anything else the other weapon received ZERO skill point. Let it be life staff or any other weapon.
Maybe it is a bug influencing just my char… I will test it out and land a vid here. (within two days)
the biggest thing GA has over other melee weapons is tracking.

I was a resto druid in WoW for a long time and yeah, i recall teh forums over there complaining about having to work to kill healers. It’s just sad that the people crying about healers are clearly not thinking about how dead healers = dead tanks and dps.
I mean real and first mmos, not this shit wow or whatever.
Healer is a healer. Not a damage dealer. Everyone in real mmo has got his own role to play. But You nowadays kids think that everyone can play every role.
And that is incorrect.
