I personally feel like the lifestaff great axe combo is extremely too powerful at the moment. It sometimes takes 2-3 level 60s to take down 1 60 using that combo and we are max DPS. I was critting him for 3k and he just full heals insta and gets away. We gap close and he just doesn’t die. The fights take so long and the damage he dishes out while also going to full health seems a little overtuned. They nerfed the life staff once for PvE purposes but I think it’s self heal needs big changes and nerfs. Especially since you can go from a quarter HP to full in seconds and then turn around and deal extremely big damage. Does anyone agree with me? Or am I alone and there is a big counter I am missing besides CC-ing him before he blows a cooldown.
When you hit him with 3k he should explode in some cc and knockback out of his ground. When he can insta heal this its really mana intense. And without points in strenght the greataxe deals like zero damage to level 60 with also 60 gear. And 3k heal with a instant requires him a lot into focus. I know it can feel sometimes that pvp healer survive to long in like everygame but this is literally necessary when someone could knock him out with a drive by he could go dps too instead
I feel like healing itself is the problem at the moment - a healer should be able to keep themselves alive but not to the extent that they can also deal damage and easily run away at the same time, that implies that healing is far too powerful.
Most PVP games I’ve played allow healers to essentially remain invincible up to a certain point - 1v1 as a healer should allow you to also deal damage and run away; 2v1 and 3v1 as a healer should allow you to keep yourself alive, but that’s the only thing you can be doing; 4v1 and beyond should be able to out-damage your heals.
Likewise in 2v1 and especially in 3v1 situations if you stop healing to do anything else it should give your opponents a massive opportunity to take you down, but right now I feel like that opportunity simply isn’t there.
Its there. But often you have the fight 3melees vs 1 healer where they block each other from hitting him per example. When atleast one of them use something like ice gauntlets the healer get a heavy problem.
Part of the problem is the armor classes as well. They need more buffs and debuffs. For example healing gets buff in light armor (cd reduction). If you wear heavy armor the cooldown is increased for heals by like 50%.
Remove life staff and use another weapon with the great axe and you have a balanced combo. Remove great axe and the person is still OP. The problem is that the life staff/self healing is to strong, doesan’t matter what weapon you pair it with. The situation is so bad it is breaking pvp in this game at the moment.
