its the most used melee weapon because the other weapons can’t hit anyone who wants to move out of the way. Any melee player must offhand gaxe, or ranged weapons because otherwise they will never be a threat to anyone.
You see how no one here cares about the other melee? its not because of dmg (it doesnt have the highest melee dmg) or cc (it doesnt have the most control), its because they can’t walk away from them easily.
the real deal is yall just want melee to serve no purpose, melee without the ability to stick to, and catch enemies is 100% pointless.
when is the last time any of you ranged players died to any melee combination that didnt have greataxe?
because your average pvper is an incel with no accomplishments in life at all to hang their hat on so they have to act ultrahard online. theyre either too weak or too fat to do anything competitive in life, and have no motivation to accomplish anything of real merit. so they piss and moan on game forums.
pver have this same subset of creature among them, but they are only the top 1% of elitist tryhard raiders. most pve players are laid back and understand they are playing a game, and dont care about accomplishments or goals, and just want to play a game, where as most pvp players are massive pissbabies, only a few are actually laid back and just like to pvp.
just look at any competitive tryhard game, pretty much anything with MMR rating like a MOBA. its not just restricted to mmos. these creatures ruin those games too.
I feel like you’re totally wrong here though, Almost every single pvper and competitive player i have come across are very successful in what they do and are laid back, i feel like you’re the one now picking on the 1% of players that act like this and you’re really showing what percent you are with a message like that.
theyre probably lying. most of the ‘top players’ ive run into are online 12 hours a day and were 60 the first week. this is not someone with a job, responsibilities, or a life. they also tend to talk the most shit on global, and bitch when they get ganked.

infact, there was a thread about 2 days ago, with some tryhard loser pvper trying to get his whole pvp discord to ingame report people who refused to help defend his companies territory. the guys discord picture was his face, and he was so fat the thumbnail barely fit the guys head in it.
these are the people im talking about, and they are everywhere.

Plus who are you to judge someone’s stance on life, who are you to judge what people can and can’t do, why do you have to put someone on blast for what they do? I know a guy who does nothing but plays games all day, he’s a very big guy (Even know that shouldn’t have anything to do with it) but he can do that because he has all this income coming in from him owning 14 service stations. and i know quite alot of these people. this is why it’s ticking me off about you saying this garbage.

I play spear sword, staying on enemies with other weapons isn’t difficult, however it is much easier to get away from everything other than gaxe WHEN gaxe doesn’t even use skills that allow it to stay close. the tree reads as though you are a storm just pulling everything into you but in reality gaxe is just cleave spam.
reap, charge, gravity well are the only skills I ever see and I am sure that the intention of play is supposed to be much cooler than that. I rarely see anyone use execute and can’t say I have ever seen anyone use whirlwind ever.
So it isn’t surprising when players say “gaxe sucks in 1 vs 1” because they build to try to grav well a group and then spam light attacks until their health is too low. I see it all the time. I also tend to see gaxe players use charge to run away rather than engage as they tend to overextend without their group and get bodied.
So when in a situation where there is a gaxe on meand you hop away, i expect to be able to not be instantly followed by an attack and my dodge being completely worthless. I am a front line fighter as well so there is no reason for the attack to allow you to slide along the floor as I certainly don’t
the thing is you’re in here complaining about these types of people when you keep showing signs and admitting that you’re one yourself… that’s why it’s contradicting
im not one at all. successful job, business owner, all manner of men and women lust after me (and i after them). unfortunately if you want to play on a well oiled team in these types of games, you must sink into the unshaven, unshowered filth of the neckbeards and their inner circles.
I play the same build except heavy armor and this is 100% true. You will not catch light armor unless they let you or don’t know how to use their mobility. I wouldnt say im the best GA user in my server but im one if them. Baiting rapier riposte, predicting ice shower and knowing when to not go full aggro are all required to best any decent player 1v1 using GA. That being said the weapon is extremely dominant in group scenarios.
