Great axe needs buff and fix

Gravity is okey, Reap is okey aswell others abilities sucks…

im not too much of a GA player I played it just for fun here and there. But the first one might come from someone Maelstroming your GW as its considered a projectile too.

Greataxe needs the next rework for sure. It is very weak even with all of its empower. It is very slow has, lots of self rooting, long recovery frames, very long cds for what they do. The length of greataxe cooldowns the skills should be doing way more damage. Execute is a joke, reap breaks and doesn’t work half the time, maelstrom 20 seconds for 220% its awful, bloodlust barely works since the patch, whirlwind is weak with a low radius for a long cd, passives based on being near 3 enemies(should be scaling based on nearby enemies atleast), needs cdr built into build, etc.

I think it’s the gravity passive that messes with reap and maelstrom pulls still.

Still doesn’t work consistently without it unfortunately

Oh. I don’t use GA that often but I don’t think I’ve ever experienced that issue with pulls when I didn’t have gravity.

Ya it does the same with or without it I think its a desync issue probably. With it its probably just freedom messing it up, but without it its probably desync either way its alright when it works but useless most of the time

Agree witha lot of these posts.

  1. NOw that damage was reduced on grav, it needs to be changed back to hard pull, no escape.

  2. Reduce animation times, recover frames, self root time on all autos and skills.

  3. Heavy attack girt perk needs to start on the start of back swing.

  4. Remove self root at end of charge… needs to flow back to running like a light dodge.

  5. Remove collision withh allies on charge.

  6. Now that grav is ranged class, headshots should crit.

  7. What does heavy pull do? It says it pulls foes… but i never see that actually happen… it does seems to work in conjunction with gravity to root… sometimes… but it shouldnt take two perks to do this. I want it to actually pull enemies into us, like move them to me as i am pulled to them.

  8. Fort changes made unyielding and crowded protection are next to useless. Changed 10% damage reduction to 10% armor. If it remains armor, needs to be increased to approx 25% each.

I think unyielding and crowded should change to scale based on amount of nearby enemies so it’s not useless most of the time or when fighting 1 target. I would also like to see the combo attacks be 3 swings 2 short arcs and a spin for lights. 2 wider/deeper arcs and a double spin for heavies at 90% damage each. I sorta think all heavies should just change to fully charged like the greatsword it feels much better

as a side thing I think greed should be on heavy attacks to fit how strength builds are changing.

I have not played that much with GA but what I can tell is that it has very nice feeling during PvE. Tanky, DMG is decent etc.

PvP experience was terrible. Even when you have some nice passives/skils that should allow you to catch up with ranged easily, very often they start light roll parade and you end up with nth even when you played all skills right xD

Haven’t noticed any skill bugs

It is alright in pve, but the cds are a little long for how much damage they do and the constant need to block or dodge cancel recovery frames is annoying

If you think it’s bad, it’s a skill issue.

What’s so good about the greataxe? Explain for Pve and pvp why its necessary or what about it makes it so great. The best thing about it in pve is clumping and in pvp its alright at chasing. It has relatively low dps in pve and its easy to outrun in pvp if you pay any level of attention. Half the skills are pretty bad and in generalthey have long cds for the damage they do.

Great axe WAS amazing in pve before the pathc.

The move of grit to con made thwarting bad. The nerf of refreshing move made the cds for grav and mealtrom too long. Between the damage nerfs and fortify nerfs… it just feels meh.

Used to be you could get a lot of refreshing move reduction in big clumps in dungeon runs and pump out thr gravs and maelstroms… now its sort of once per pull. And then i switch to greatsword.

. kinda sad to see my favortite weapon reduced to two utility skills…

Well - I cant disagree.
Yet I have in mind that you have bunch of other weapons that are very bad in PvE, especially solo. And GA would be weapon of choice when doing respec while swaping from those :slight_smile: So it is much worse yet after looking at musket for example - could be worse :rofl:

I dunno a lot of other weapons besides musket(which also needs a rework) are doing pretty good right now. Either way they need to increase the usability to match the current iteration of the game and from what I’ve played I think the greataxe has fallen behind in worth the most as far as melee weapons go.
