Great axe - Reap passive - Hunger, passive Feed and passive Crit. gains not working properly

  • Describe the issue you are experiencing: I found that all the skills for Great Axe that should Heal the wielder are not working or just partially working, skills I am talking about are Critical Gains - should heal 10% from every crit done, skill Feed - Great axe attacks against foes below 30% HP should heal you for 10% of the dmg done and Reap tree skill Hunger - heal yourself for 30% of the dmg done with reap

To explain - none of these skills really work as intended and work roughly at 1/10 of the times they actually should, pretty simple to see how unfunctional it is is to just drop any mob to say 10% HP and hit it the last hit, since this is under the description of the skill FEED it should heal me for the dmg 10% done, but it does only sometimes, the same goes for 10% heal from crits, there is many times a battle where I am say 1/2 health, hitting crits to enemies like crazy, but no health is returned from those. Lastly skill Hunger, sometimes it returns some HP many times none, also weird is, last skill from reap tree is this spinning 115% attack done after reap… Sometimes the hunger passive skill returns HP just for the “reap pull” attack when other times it returns HP from reap pull as well as from the spinning attack that comes after pull.

This whole experience makes me drink way more health potions that would be needed if the skills in skill tree worked as they describe.

Since I did not find this issue in “known issues” thought you might want to give it a look and test.

  • What are the steps to reproduce the issue as you experienced: just go and fight enemies when your health is not full, test all 3 of these passive skills

EDIT: so quick edit, I tried to replicate the issue fighting one pig… and when fighting against this one pig it worked as intended which is weird since I have been seeing this bug happen for weeks just now I decided to actually start a forum acc and report it, will have to investigate some more if it is still relevant - maybe it is not working with multiple enemies? Will let you know during tomorrow.

EDIT2: ok just a moment after doing my first edit the “bug” happened again. I was at half health, freshly full HP pig against me, I did first hit crit for 2k dmg, did not heal me for any hp. Just didnt return anything. And it was simple 1on1 combat, when it is happening against elite mobs where every HP counts it is way more noticable, or in group fights…

Also adding screenshot of my skills, in case it has something to do with “skill-sync” with other actives/passives.

I am observing the same problem at least with the “Hunger” passive for “Reap” i haven’t seen it actually heal me once yet.

After another closer look i noticed the base skill “Reap” does not seem to do ANY damage whatsover.

This is my currently active Great Skill setup:

try removing the trait that says u pull for 30% longer. should work, also dont use the one who say
“that pull mobs to you with heavy attacks” , it breaks ur heavy attack dmg

I did some more extensive testing … and i can confirm that Reap does damage and heal (though no on-screen green numbers … i can see my health bar go up without any other source of healing / regen) as long as i do not have the “Gravity” passive from the Mauler line slotted.

hope it get fixed soon, it was reported a month ago.

My findings so far …

  • The “Gravity” passive from the Mauler line causes “Reap” from the Reaper line to no longer do damage.
  • The “Heavy Pulls” passive from the Mauler line does pull mobs with Heavy Attacks, but those Heavy Attacks will now only do damage as if they were regular Light Attacks.

What the heck. This… really sucks lol

I came in here looking to see if this has been reported. I’ll have to try what others have suggested and not use the perks they mentioned.

Hopefully they look into these bugs. Passives shouldn’t override or mess with the other passives unless it’s an “either-or” type of situation that’s explicitly stated.

Edit: Wanted to add that I am also seeing issues with ‘Hunger’ and ‘Feed’ both sometimes working, and sometimes not. Logging back in seems to get it working again, but not sure what actually bugs it out.

I have also been having problems with Reap. Glad I found this thread.

Can confirm that removing Gravity from the Mauler tree has allowed Reap to do damage as intended. Just sucks that I can’t spec as I want to until this issue is resolved.

yes, from what i hear you cant grab gravity until you fully spec into reap, after you fully spec into reap you can grab gravity and it should be ok. never grab heavy pull, that one is always bugged

I have posted about this also and was ignored completely. Hope GA can get finally fixes it deserves because Critical Gains passive is damn crucial one…

oh yeah, I did a bunch of testing around the Gravity perk and Reap damage damage a while back.
Heres the bug: there is 3 different animations for Reap.
default reap.
extended range reap.
and reap w/spin

default reap, and spin reap are both fine.
but extended range doesn’t do any damage if the gravity perk is on.

the reason I drop Reap
bcs it doesnt do any damage at all
