I used my stamina to get out of the gravity well and dodge hits while in it. So after that I am kinda not able to do anything but wait for my CD of charge or GW…
So him hitting like 7,8 times on me is UN-preventable.
Just try fighting back? It sounds like he just outplayed your attempt to outplay.
Greataxe just needs a nerf, it has too many mechanics going in its favour.
Are you using bloodlust?
You stun him and then walk away, or go on the offensive yourself.

The crucial part is when he catches up to me and I cant avoid the chain of hits he gets.
Hit - I am locked in animation and dash forward - he dashes too and lands the hit - I am stuck in animation cant move - have to use dash to avoid another hit, cause he is already slaming his axe again.
When I am out of stamina I have nothing other to do than to return fight but in this scenario I had only one option and that was to make distance as much as possible, cause behind him were already 2-3 people charging on me too and healing him.
And my goal was to distract those guys and focus on me while my team regrouped and defended the Fort.
Welp, you may have to consider trying another weapon combo. Perhaps a hammer or spear. Both of which have numerous slows and knockdowns.
Necessity is the mother of invention. And in this case you need to evaluate your weapon combo. Your setup might be good for PvE or even wars. But outpost rush is a lot of 1on1 or 2on2 where weapons that would pull ahead in other scenarios fall short.
Great Axe has been OP since beta at least. GA user complaining about GA user using GA to kill him is peak NW forums.
- There is a way to glitch out of gravity wells without needing to blow a skill, not sure what it is.
- Great axe has a lot of animation cancels that would give them an edge over a GA user that doesn’t know how to do the animation cancels.
Thats is probably exactly what happened and my question here.
Yeah 30%movespeed towards enemy, that should be nerfed to 30% move speed to enemy bellow 50% hp or something. Thats crazy movement speed.
Now that I’ve seen like a dozen of other posts complaining about the ridiculousness of GA auto-hits I am confident that I am right about my thread.
It is an auto-hit function and you dont even need to aim with your GA, it will still hit every single time and actually be way more helpfull towards you than to someone who tries to dodge.
I am an GA users myself but this is just broken.
I switched to hatchet for a while and I couldnt hit shit with it. not even when going full tryhard aiming at others, most of the time, my hits wouldnt register even when my crosshair was like in their buddox. 3,4 missed hits can mean the difference between a kill and other player can escape, heal up to 100 and kill you cause his hits do register.
so your solution to g axe, is to make it more like hatchet, which you say is useless, and has no chance of killing a ranged player.
BTW, the problem is people are trying to premtively dodge to create space, instead of trying to dodge the damage and create space on the after cast of th animation
Why does great axe have an auto aim component. None of the other leaps and jump do that I am aware of
You cant do that. Its way to weird right now. The GAxe user will get the hit validation even when you time it right cause it has cleave damage and the player doesnt even need to aim for you. Like with every other weapon you have to aim directly at the enemy. With GAxe you just jump in the same direction and press mouse1. EZ
Like seriously. think about it. You dont need to aim What-So-Ever.
I tested it. You just aim whereever you want as long as you are in some range, you will hit the enemy.
Try this with any ohter weapon and tell me if its that easy too.
there are I frames on every evade, if you time it you can negate an attack.
