For those who dont know early on you could craft grey upgradeable weapons. When taken to 625 they are super bugged and have every perk in the game. This is noticeable on the death screen and causes strange things to happen when highlighting their weapon.
AGS fixed this by removing the ability to craft them, but they left the existing ones in the game. AGS is aware of this. Its just another bonus for exploiting early and heavy.
I got killed by a grey 625 musket in OPR recently… I was wondering what was up with that. I was hoping it was just a way to flex, like “look at how good I am I can top the scoreboards even with a no perk weapon”. I guess that was wishful thinking.

Funny how it doesnt happen with new players, just a few long standing old companies with reputations. Nay say me all you want. Ill be nice and just assume youre ignorant to the situation. There have been many bugs with early weapons and upgrading. They fixed the greens, not the greys.

I have “grey” 600 GS weapons since before umbral as I like to collect dumb stuff.
Checked many, many times and there has never been an option to upgrade it with umbral.
I wanted to see what would happen if I made a 625GS common, non binding, weapon. For science.
