Tbh Patterns are not worth the grind for nor the gold. I mean if you want it for cosmetics reason that is. The perks are all RNG minus the attribute I think you can actually pick. Other then that it’s a waste and probably 98% of the time you use a pattern it would be useless and worthless.

Don’t have a screenshot but it’s basically a 1 time use thing after you roll it the pattern is consumed.
They do exist, someone in my company got a lifestaff one from a arcana crate.
also imagine getting a pattern for a ring or amulet, pick the stat, and since they have limited perk pools, id imagine that would be a GREAT money maker, i want one anyway, dont know about yall

they take 3x the materials of the corresponding item to make one. They’re a novelty item, stupid rare and probably worth more as the pattern then as the item.
it was gold fire staff pattern cant remember which one. It was a friend, he tried to sell it for weeks… idk what he ended up doing with it. (Neo Kuni)
The materials are not an issue as some people literally swim in gold and materials. Not even main town owners, but mostly those.
Right now the limiting factor for gear is - umbral shards.
You can’t really buy them (in theory you can but the rewards for crafting 600gs items are so low that it is not worth mentioning). The only viable way is through dungeons.
And since the cost of upgrading lower tier items is high, having a guaranteed legendary roll is a nice head start to get a piece that you actually want to upgrade.
Of course you can try to roll that without the guaranteed 600, but this can cost you a ton of materials by itself to get something good.

I dont think its that great unless you can mix it with a timeless. In that case i would say its worth 6x the cost of a normal roll.
They might be worth something if they were fairly common and could be used but they’re way too rare. At the very most the patterns are worth 3x the related t5 item to strictly to make a 600 item. They may be worth more to the right person because they’re unique.
@timothy_barsotti Did you craft the staff would like to see its perks and stats.
Being that you don’t need a full weaponsmith set to make the item 600 I can see it being worth 6x the material cost.
it was not my pattern. i was just trying to find out what he was selling it for. He said everyone was too scared to make an offer.
They are super extremely rare, but from what I read they do exist. So rare that most people don’t know they even exist.
No doubt on the rare part knowing AGS you have to get to aptitude 8+ to even get a .001% chance at getting one at all.

Sadly perks are full RNG… imagine rolling a firestaff and ending up with a bad perk?
